We had the good fortune of connecting with Blaise Fiskhar and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Blaise, career-wise, where do you want to be in the end?
I never have an end goal, I always add more. Taking things day by day, & incremental success by success keeps you grounded, fresh, & motivated to always do more. Being able to inspire & collaboratively work with others makes everyone involved want to become the best version of themselves & want to succeed for a positive goal. With that comes the ability & influence to improve & enrich everyone around us, to be able to provide for & help other people on much larger scales. I realize there’s continuous steps I have to take to get there & I’m fully dedicated to what we do.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
We have a new album coming out soon called Love Lord. We’re extremely excited about it because we continue to refine the aspects we learned from Gardens of Ysa. We’re incorporating a lot more vocal harmony, traditional singing without autotune, & more lyrical elements to create music with meaning that makes you feel great! I think there are enough other things in people’s lives that try to discourage or put them down, music shouldn’t be a part of that. We make music to enlighten, encourage, & inspire. There is always room for great art; great art illuminates, entertains, amuses, makes people feel, instructs, all good things.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We love to cruise around the city, produce photoshoots, & come up with new ideas based on what we see. Denver is such a spread out city, there’s always a street or an art piece you’ve never seen in a part of town you’ve never been to here. After shooting or walking around for a few hours we get real hungry! I love all types of food, with some of my favorites being Thai & Italian. We take friends to our super secret favorite restaurants or cook a nice meal for them at our place. Lately we’re enjoying trying new breads, pastries, & grains from different local bakeries. We try to eat mostly organic & vegetarian so having fresh breads, cheeses, & produce in our area is essential!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Sarsee gets my shoutout. She supports me with everything I do & believes & trusts in what we do. Whether we’re recording in the studio or in the streets for photography I know Sarsee shares the same vision I do. She is extremely passionate, kind, generous, hardworking, & understands the effort needed to succeed. My appreciation, gratitude, & love is beyond measure for everything she does for me.
