We had the good fortune of connecting with Jake Diamond and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jake, we’d love for you to start things off by telling us something about your industry that we and others not in the industry might be unaware of?
Probably all of the time, effort, and bits and pieces of ourselves that go into each tattoo.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
What sets me apart is my experience. This is my 20th year tattooing, and when I came up in the craft you really had to be able to do whatever walked in through the door. You had to learn to be efficient and proficient in many different styles.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’m kind of a nerd, so I’d be taking them to the zoo, the museum of nature and science, and red rocks amphitheater and the old cemeteries in the nearby mountain towns. Definitely have them check out the shop(Long Live Tattoo Collective) and probably get a tattoo. I would make sure to eat at the Sherpa House in Golden and at Linger in the highlands.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My sister has always been in my corner and supported me and my dreams.
