We had the good fortune of connecting with Josh Horwitz and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Josh, what’s something about your industry that outsiders are probably unaware of?
There is a ~94% fail rate for this specefic industry in Denver. It is such a saturated market, you need to be incredibly creative, hungry, and hardworking to survive.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I am most proud of being able to pat myself on the back, after seeing my clients/investors success after working with me. I strive every day to treat my clients like my own, work in their absolute best interest, and make them as successful as possible. With doing so, I grow as well. Which is my FAVORITE thing about what I do every day. Knowing that when I do well my clients do even better.
I got to where I am today by taking the risk of not going to college, and joining a small botique brokerage firm in Denver. While there, I became the top producer within 6 months, and the acheivement has not ended since. I become the team lead for multiple brokers, commercial and residential, I then became the managing broker, then in April of 2023 I acquired the brokerage from the owners. Now, we have about 20 brokers and multiple marketing and operation staff to seamline operations and to keep making sure we are the top brokerage choice for our clients and future clients.
Was it easy? Absolutely not, however, being that I did not go to college, I had no option but to succeed. For the first two years, I said goodbye to my social life, working 12 hour days, cold calling, door knocking in blizzards, writing letters, etc.. I knew it would pay off in the future, However, even though I still work heavy hours every week, I am lucky enough to say I love what I do, and the fact that achieve so many satisfied clients and positive feedback, it feeds my motivation to continue the grind, knowing there are more people that can benefit from our services.
I want the world to know that myself Josh Horwitz and Capital Property Group, is still a small, but high volume producing botique brokerage, that can and will do every deal the larger brokerages do, but we will never be beat in the care for our clients.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My father, Steven Horwitz (9/22/58 – 11/18/2020). My father, was a pioneer of multiple businesses, although not highly succesful in them, he had Ivy league knowledge of business just through his expeirence. He always told me his regret was not going into real estate, he pushed me and motivated me to skip college, and jump right into real estate and the business world. Most parents would not take that risk, but he made it clear that he had all the trust in my business skils, people skills, and sales skills that I would come out just fine. He was right, without any financial help of my family, I have become a millionare before turning 21 and an owner of two well known real estate/investing/financing companies. I am very thankful for his motivational push and my mothers support throughout these years!
