We had the good fortune of connecting with Zsa’nee Gaines and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Zsa’nee, what do you attribute your success to?
I believe my business is successful because I believe in what I do. My Photography business is named after my 2 daughters, Kymora and Jaxson. I believe women are more powerful than they realize. My goal is to show my daughter’s and other women their futures are defined by them only and not society, culture, race, or any 1 individual.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a female photographer that loves photographing women. My passion and desire are to elevate women in their life journey by showing them how amazing and gorgeous they are. I believe what sets me apart from other photographers is my ability to make all my clients feel like family. I embrace them where they are at in their lives and show love all while making photography fun. My crazy, loud and silliness brings out the best in people. Being in the Photography Industry for 11yrs has been a journey that I wouldn’t change. It was not an easy road but when you are operating in the gifts and talents GOD has given you, unbelievable doors will always open. However, you have to be ready with the right mindset as well as skillset. Preparation for any success is key. Whatever you have mastered whether good or bad that will be the outcome you receive. I take pride in, as well as believe in continual education. You can never know everything.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Colorado is an amazing state. It’s not just beautiful but we get to experience all 4 seasons. We embrace diversity and creativity. I love living here. There is so much to do, from exploring the gorgeous mountains from Denver to Vail to Aspen, to Beaver Creek and so many other places. Winter Park for the yearly Jazz Festival is a highlight of Summer, skiing Copper Mountain in the winter, visiting the breathtaking scenery of the Garden of the Gods or Red Rocks, and not to mention gambling in Blackhawk. Even if you are not an outdoor person, you are guaranteed to fall in love with it. The serenity and peaceful nature will definitely revitalize you. Let’s not forget all the yummy food places to visit. Welton Street Cafe for Soul Food, El Chubby’s Mexican food, Shanahan’s Steakhouse, Cheesecake Factory, Del Frisco’s for the best-fried oysters, and 1 of my all-time favorite’s Tag Restaraunt where everything is perfect.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There are so many individuals that helped me by believing in me, My Husband, My daughters, My Family & Friends. My Friend & Coach Nik Scott of Scott Media Group. My Church Family Emmanuel Christian Center Pastor Alvin & Carmel Simpkins. My Father Norman Campbell owner of EL Chubby’s Mexican Food has always demonstrated an amazing work mentality. Photographers I’ve partnered with over the years Audrey Brown Photography, Bill Murphy of Forget Me Knot. My Business Mentors Sal & Alissa Cincotta of Salvatore Cincotta Photography who have pushed me beyond boundaries I didn’t know existed. I love them all and wouldn’t have made it this far without them. They have my heart.
