We had the good fortune of connecting with Queen JuJu and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Queen, what role has risk played in your life or career?
When I was in my 20s, taking big risks in life lead to my happiest moments. Whether I was hopping off a bus in a new country and didn’t know where I was going to sleep that night, or ditching all plans to hitchhike across country with a few acrobats, I was seeking a risk-taking thrill. Now, a more mature human, I crave that risk in business. I dropped a career as a graphic designer that I had spent years building clients and creating the life that I wanted at the drop of a dime to enter the NFT space. Its a volatile market for anyone to enter, but I wanted to bring these Furballs to life. I wanted to create a game that was genuinely my vision and brought a community together for the fun of it.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Talking about your own art is like conceding to be a narcissist. I’m most proud about the personality Furball’s have. The evil mixed with adorable. I’m proud there is a community behind it of the most lovely people you can meet on the internet. I didn’t get here by accident and none of this is easy. Its actually a huge pain point watching other NFTs with easy art get to the top so effortlessly. Every Furball is comprised of multiple traits (ears, eye, outfits, tails etc) that all had to seamlessly work together to be able programmatically generate 7,500 combinations. On top of that, we needed these Furballs to work as animations in-game. Every trait has to be able to move independently. Whats more, building art for the blockchain with SVGs means every single vector adds upload cost. Its kind of insane if you dissect these little guys apart and understand the planning that went into them.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
For every artist in the NFT space there are mastermind developers. @inzania is the smartest, kindest human I know. He works tirelessly with enthusiasm to make these Furballs a phenomenon beyond my wildest dreams.
