We had the good fortune of connecting with Brittany Hoblit and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Brittany, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
When starting Saddle Up Sips, I wanted to create something that brought a unique customer experience to Northern Colorado. We already had the 2 horse slant trailer and I knew that creating a business that was economically wise for my family would be important. So, combining my love and experience of bartending with my past as an event planner seemed like a perfect storm. Also, as a full time teacher, having something to do during my uncontracted summer was even better!
What should our readers know about your business?
The biggest vision I’ve had for Saddle Up Sips is to provide an integrity filled and highest quality service to my clients. I understand that every client has poured their heart into their event. Our job is to provide beverage service that our client doesn’t have to think about and just gets to enjoy! We love serving nonalcoholic and alcohol friendly events because we believe that every age and preference deserves a wonderful drink experience. I love the looks on faces as a horse trailer beverage service arrives. It brings joy and fun to an event while offering security of professional and responsible service.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would absolutely want to show them some of Colorado’s natural beauty. I enjoy rural living and love driving into the foothills to share the peace of our natural world. Then, I would bring them to enjoy breakfast at Lucille’s in Fort Collins. Our afternoon would definitely include a visit to Old Colorado Brewing Company and Sparge in Wellington.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would love to recognize my husband, Jason. He jumped on board with my seemingly out of the box business idea. Between helping rennovate and supporting my vision, I’m forever grateful for his steadfast encouragement. My parents are always dropping whatever they are doing to help me work on the trailer as well! Additionally, all of the friends who have supported me through allowing me to try out my idea in their spaces!
