Meet Austin Wiley | Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Austin Wiley and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Austin, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I wanted to work for myself and help create a platform to find more people who want the same. The Lead Village was created because I want to bring the local scene closer together through art.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
So I’ve been doing art for about 6 years now. I guess In a way that makes me a different artist most artists have been doing it since they can remember. I got to where I am today because I fell in love with the craft and the adventure for knowledge. It’s been a tough road but a fun one. I’ve learned so much about life through art. My biggest lesson I’ve learned is to always value your time. Being a artist is a challenging career but I’m excited for all my new side quests to come. Murals and tattooing to name a few.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’m so boring I wouldn’t really know. If I had to pick some must see spots I’d say palmer park, greenline grill, coati, and then to lightspeed curations so we can get a tattoo to remember the moment.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Everybody at The Lead Village and everyone who supports the journey!!
