We had the good fortune of connecting with The Bean Book and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi The Bean Book, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
The Bean Book came about when a few friends sat down and realized they all had a great idea. From there it wasn’t a question of how we would make our idea a reality it was when we would. All four of us have an entrepreneurial spirit and a love of coffee. It became apparent that this was something we were meant to do, a company we were meant to start!

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
The Bean Book is a connector for coffee creators and coffee cravers! We are the middle man between the un-caffeinated person who does not know where to get his/her coffee, and the local craft coffee shop right around the corner that has just what they’re looking for! Not only is The Bean Book a good guide book to the world of coffee that Colorado has to offer, but it also offers discounts at the shops! For the 2023 edition every coffee shop will be offering a 50% of a drink coupon and either another 50% off coupon, or 20% off a bag of fresh roasted coffee beans!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
For a good breakfast spot we love The French Press in Lakewood. After a good breakfast a hike is in order! One of our favorite places is North Table in Golden! Perfect for a quick climb or a long hike. The next order of business would have to be visiting a coffee shop to take a small rest! Any shop in The Bean Book is perfect for: quality coffee, superb vibes, and a chill atmosphere to talk in!
After a coffee break we would have to head to a brewery, one of our favorites is Green Mountain Beer Company in Lakewood! To end the night right we would have to take them to The Punch Bowl Social, or One Up Arcade!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would say that The Bean Book owes its biggest shoutout to the 19 coffee shops that believed in our idea. They, like us, saw the potential and wanted to help us make it a reality. The Bean Book is focused on being a community catalyst for Colorado Coffee. Our favorite thing about Colorado’s coffee scene is that a new coffee shop is not seen as competition but instead a unique vendor that brings something new and exciting to the community.
