We had the good fortune of connecting with Christina Robben and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Christina, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?

I’ve been working in media for 6 years and noticed during my time as a broadcast news reporter and in the marketing department for various organizations that small business owners struggle with maintaining and optimizing their social media.

I recognized the noticeable disparity in access to marketing for entrepreneurs in Southern Colorado VS Northern Colorado.

Those independently-owned businesses did not have time to learn digital marketing or a budget to hire another full-time position. I had people asking for social media help left and right, and they were tired of hearing no or finding out that they could not pay the hefty prices that are oftentimes commonplace within the industry. That’s when it struck me head on, why not open my own marketing firm? So I did, and here I am!

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?

I believe that I am different from others because I I am fiercely loyal to my clients and I pride myself on PROOF that I always follow through. I help people attract, engage, and retain their target audience through the use of content marketing.

This means that I can help my clients through creation of a robust social media strategy that is unique to each business. In this strategy booklet, I include all the information a business owner needs to reach their specific goals that we create together. Those who continue moving forward with Robben Marketing Solutions are provided various packages including everything from photography and videography, editing of that content, graphic design, social media scheduling, email marketing, press releases, and consultation.

My dream client is a dedicated and ambitious self-starter who doesn’t have the budget to hire multiple contract workers or firms — they need someone who can do it all.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’m born-and-raised in Pueblo, Colorado and I can tell you from experience (ask my college friends) that if you come visit, you will have the best time that you never expected!

Come on down on a Friday and let’s go to happy hour at Garlic and Onions. Then we can grab Bingo Burger to go (I get The Boilermaker, parmesan-garlic fries with lemon rosemary aioli, and a strawberry shake.)

Then we can head over to the Senate for a fun night of dancing, pool, and drinks!

On Saturday, we head over to brunch at 1129 Spirits & Eatery then head to the reservoir to go boating until we are so exhausted and sunburnt that we pass out before making it to the bars again.

Sunday we wake up early to play the short 9 at Elmwood Golf Course and stay for lunch at Nachos (anything with green chile is appropriate.)

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?

I would have to give a massive thank you to Judy Kochevar of The Hand Truck Company who helped me recognize that this could be something I turn into a business. I like to say Robben Marketing Solutions found me, and it is clear that I am on the right path!
