We had the good fortune of connecting with Dominique Adara and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dominique, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
I would have to say that it is my own view of what success looks and feels like to me. Knowing that I am the only person that defines the success of my business. The same could be said for any person in any area of their life. How do you see it, how does it make you feel, how does it enrich my experience. To me success has meant celebrating failure, and still continuing to move forward. It means appreciating all the stories and shares from people who have been moved by the offers I create. It also means appreciating the personal results such as confidence, resilience, and joy that I experience in my life outside of my business, that was created from having a business.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am a life coach, I work with people to uncover themselves self under layers of conditioning and limiting patterns. We dive into your personal truths, passions, and dreams which involves reconnecting to the mind, body and spirit. I coach people who are ready to start living their life in ways that light them up and nourish them, so they can feel connected to life again.

I also host monthly community events and Women’s Circles. These are sacred spaces for people to come together in community and share, celebrate and hold space for each other in all seasons of life. These spaces are full of the magic of vulnerability.

You will also find me teaching Yoga classes at Rise Yoga in Golden Colorado. I teach slow flow deep stretch classes that are designed to be a deeply reconnecting experience to the body. I also teach a style of Yoga called Buti Yoga which incorporates dance, cardio, asana, and play into a powerful mind body experience.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We are going out into nature! Some of my favorite hikes are Blue Lake near Ward, Herman Gulch trail and Skiing at Winter park or A Basin! Then coming back down the mountain for a little soak in the Idaho springs natural spring caves. Another great day in the area is spending time in golden, visiting the Golden rock shop, the sweet shop has the best ice cream, and my favorite brewery in town is the Mountain Toad, it is so community centered and their brews are all made right there!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First and foremost my community. The beautiful lands of Colorado. The original peoples of the lands I reside on the Ute, Cheyenne, and Arapahoe land. My parents who always encouraged freedom, independence, and imagination in my life. Each coach, guide and teacher that I have worked with that have shared their knowledge and passions with me. Writers such as Clarissa Pinkola Estès, Elizabeth Gilbert, Elizabeth Lesser, and Brené Brown. Women, all women who pour their hearts into their families, communities and passions. Thank you
