Meet Brittany Heath | Aesthetician and Business Owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Brittany Heath and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brittany, what’s something about your industry that outsiders are probably unaware of?
When thinking of the aesthetic industry, many believe that it is about making people look pretty or fake with injectables. This industry is actually 100% self-care. Like many other aestheticians, we are trained to take care of our patients from the inside out. This means “most” of us really have a passion to guide our patients in all things skin, but also their wellbeing. At Alpine Aesthetics and Skincare, we require a 45-minute consultation to find out exactly what you are looking for and what is realistic for your skin and lifestyle. It is very important that our clients feel comfortable and are ready to make an investment with skincare treatments and products we suggest, but also with themselves.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Since I was young, I have always wanted to run my own business. There were many times I thought this was something I could not achieve. I was being told this was something I may not be able to do because of my learning disability. Well those people were wrong. With drive, determination, organization, continued education, creating a brand, designing my own office, purchasing product, applying for loans, paying off loans, etc. I am now a successful small business owner in Denver, Colorado. It is the best decision I have ever made. It may not be easy to start your own business, but as they all say “if you put your mind to it, you can achieve it!”

In 2019 I founded Alpine Aesthetics and Skincare.. This was not my first career. I had a sales and marketing background, worked with newspapers, computer companies and then went to graduate school for film. After being in the film industry for 5 years I decided it was no longer for me. I absolutely loved it, and still do, but I needed a career where I could not only make people feel amazing about themselves but also help guide and direct them into achieving their skincare and wellness goals. I decided to go to esthetic school, take multiple courses and eventually worked at my first med spa. Then did contract work at an amazing plastic surgeons office here in Denver. They became a support system that truly pushed me in the direction of opening my own practice.

At Alpine Aesthetics and Skincare, we really dig deep into everything with you. Our 45 minute, required, virtual or in person consultations are worth every minute. During your consultation, we talk lifestyle, relationships, skincare, and so much more. If you have concerns or questions following your consult or treatment, we are your “personal aesthetician.” You can text, call, email, almost any time, we will help you no matter where we are.

Our menu currently includes Microneedling with growth factors, Diamond Glow Facial, PCA Chemical Peels, Dermaplaning, LED therapy, Botox and our newest, most popular treatment, the Enzyme Treatment by DMK. We also carry amazing medical grade and botanical skincare products including Revision Skincare, SkinBetter Science, PCA Skin, DMK and AnteAge. We will be adding new goodies in 2023 including an aesthetic education program! Cannot wait to share more with the world!

If there is something I could say to anyone who reads this article, it would be that life is not all rainbows and butterflies, but if you really want to make something happen, go out there learn, network, negotiate, be kind and know you are capable of doing anything you put your mind to! Lastly take care of you! Make sure you fit in some self care!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
When my friends come in from out of town to visit the Denver area, I love to show them around the city and if there is time, the mountains. My husband and I love to visit the following spots – Breakfast, Brunch and Lunch – The Cookery At Myrtle Hill
Lunch Spots – Bird Call, Olive and Finch or step it up a notch and go to Cherry Creek Grill
Dinner – We love dinners at Matsuhisa and Tavernetta (when we have the extra cash), Barcelona, Bon Ami French Restaurant and the list goes on.
Drinks – Currently we are not drinking so we have been enjoying the new and improved non-alcoholic drinks at different restaurants and bars. Our favorite currently is Cooper Lounge. Love the ambiance and service here! If you love a good dive bar we go to the Candlelight Tavern.
If you want to see one of the cool new spots. I would definitely look at Meow Wolf and RINO district. Lastly, I highly suggest you getting outside and enjoying our beautiful parks here in Denver. If you get the chance to head up the mountains, we love to visit Evergreen for a quick hike and some fresh mountain air.

I’d like to give a “Shoutout” to Kirk Sjolund! My rock, best friend and husband. Without your constant support, love, and encouragement I would not be where I am now. Thank you for being you! I would also like to send a shoutout my girl, my mac to my cheese, Victoria Vanderwoude for being the bestest friend a girl could ask for!
