We had the good fortune of connecting with Christian Millet and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Christian, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Proper research and knowledge is key to start any ventures, good discipline, planning and vision are fundamental.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Running an art gallery requires in my opinion multiple skills that can be separated into two sections, entrepreneurial and business savvy and a highly creative mentality to understand who you are working with. Not many galleries understand artists, perhaps because the majority of owners are not artists themselves. We as a team of artists do whatever we can to promote each artist, and sometimes means not making any money.

Currently, in very excited about our calendar of exhibitions coming up, we have a few surprises to be announced.

In retrospect, I got here by taking a lot of risks, following my instincts and passion, and failing constantly; success is never easy.

One of the biggest lessons I learned in my life came from my mother. crying about your failures while sitting on a couch is not going to bring you any benefits, if you want to eat go make it happen.

I want people to know how we operate, our mission statement is very real: we are artists, patrons, and collectors working for artists.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My current business partner Geno for believing in my vision, and the long support of friends and colleagues. All our patrons, collectors, and most importantly all the current artists who continue to work with us. All deem essential to our growth.
