We had the good fortune of connecting with Taylor Khoury and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Taylor, is there something you can share with us that those outside of the industry might not be aware of?
One thing that outsiders may not know about the industry of Human Design is that it is a practical and highly personalized tool that provides valuable insights to anyone. It offers specific guidance that can be immediately implemented to create more ease and success in life, tailored to each individual’s unique needs. Despite what others may think, Human Design is not a mere “woo woo” concept but has practical applications in various areas, including business, parenting, relationships, and wellness. This is because of the bio-individuality of each chart, which means that each person’s chart is tailored to their specific needs and framework.

Many people have reported that understanding their own Human Design feels like a validation of their innermost feelings, now expressed in a way that they can act on. It’s like having a permission slip to live life on your own terms instead of feeling stuck by society’s unwritten rules that may not be supporting you.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Initially, I was hesitant to do this work. Human Design first entered my life in 2008, but I didn’t want to do readings and saw it as too “woo-woo” for my daily life. However, my life story and experiences led me to trust my own design more, which gave me clarity on myself and my purpose. I gained more peace and a deeper understanding of my life’s theme and why I was drawn to helping others. I realized I had been pulled to Human Design for a long time for a reason, and that I needed all the experiences along the way that have shaped my style.

My goal is to make my work practical and easily digestible. I want people to be able to take action on their insights and see a real impact in their lives. Although it has been a challenge, I have always had a strong “why” that has helped me on the hardest days. I arrived where I am today through diverse lived experiences, including volunteering overseas, solo international travel, working in hospitality, overcoming the passing of my father, becoming a mom, embracing co-parenting and a split family, and all the highs and lows along the way.

My aim is to explain things in a new way and make a difference in the world. I want to give people a fresh perspective on themselves that supports them in living out their unique talents and abilities. The thought of people passing away without ever having shared their best selves breaks my heart. I aspire to help people discover their own buried treasures and support them in showcasing their brilliance in their own special way.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

– Have breakfast at One Fold.

– Visit The Source chiropractor for an adjustment with Dr. Darren Murphy or Flow Chiropractic to see Dr. Seth Storment

– Have lunch at Nest at Nurture and explore all the shops and providers inside

– Stop by Be a Good Person for some shopping

– Enjoy a sauna session and ice bath with the amazing local duo – Eric Hinman and Sarah Cohen.

– Have a dinner adventure at The Rotary or Perdida.

– Workout at V23 Athletics

– Have breakfast at Just Be Kitchen

– Pick up a packed picnic lunch at Leven Deli.

– Head up the hill for a hike – Evergreen, Conifer, etc. – or drive to Buena Vista or Avon for an overnight.

– If you drove to Buena Vista, stop at Mt. Princeton Hot Springs post-hike for a soak.

– If you drove up to Avon, stop at The Ritz Bachelor Gulch (even if not staying there – they offer a day pass for the spa and have the most amazing sauna, cold plunge, steam room, etc.).

– Have coffee at Bivouac in Evergreen on the drive to the mountains (for the morning).

– Or stop for dinner at Willow Creek Restaurant (Evergreen) on the way back.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Undoubtedly, my mentors, teachers, clients, friends, and family who have supported me along the way and taught me more than I could ever express. In particular, I would like to thank my parents, Tina Porter (who has been instrumental in modeling how to live what you teach), Crystal Hinton, Jenna Zoe, Toni Cline, Jon Schlegel, Katy Poole, Bhat Koti Baba and many others
