We had the good fortune of connecting with Jackie Reynolds and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.

As a surface pattern designer, I can create graphics on surfaces ranging from home decor products to clothing and anything else in between. Some of my graphics are influenced by my interest in the complex geometric art of mandalas. One of my most significant accomplishments to date is having my products sold on Wayfair, Overstock, Joss & Main & Kavka Designs for several years. I am proud to be highly creative, genuinely kind, and an innovator of original designs.

I have had invisible challenges that I have had to overcome. By looking at me, no one knows I had to deal with, cope, and overcome the life lessons of dyslexia and bipolar. In retrospect, this learning difference and chemical imbalance have been a gift. My strength and passion for helping people have steadily grown into one of my greatest missions in life.

The products I have created for my design career have traveled all over the world. However, becoming a household name as a designer has been challenging. People and companies are generally focused on searching for people with experience, and in most cases, they have overlooked my extensive design portfolios. It wasn’t until Kelly Clifford from Kavka Designs looked at my proven design abilities and gave me the chance of a lifetime. I aim to generate significant profit from selling my designs and services and intend to give back through philanthropy. I have complete and unwavering faith that I will make my dreams of success and philanthropic work a reality. I want the world to know that they are investing in my brand and in my mission to make the world a better place through philanthropic endeavors.

I just triumphed over aggressive breast cancer. My 35th birthday was not guaranteed and, at times, didn’t seem likely. My cancer healing process was long and arduous. At specific points in my cancer battle, it felt like I was being tortured to stay alive. It was worth every second for the gift of life. I am writing a book about my journey back to health and all the trials and tribulations I had to face head-on or die. I am excited to share my personal story with the world about how I overcame obstacles and survived. I was strongly directed back to my purpose of helping people by becoming an inspirational speaker and sharing my story.

I intend to inspire and to instill hope in others. I utilize the fundamental principles of the power of my mind and my ability to focus. I celebrate love, gratitude, and pure positivity in my life. I followed my dreams regardless of my struggles so I could persevere and live by my critical principles in life.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I know there are a lot of people who are passionate about sports, but I am not one of them. However, if a friend visiting me is interested, we can go to any events or games that are in season and that they enjoy. I am happy to be a cheerleader for their team and be by their side. Lately, I haven’t been into the party scene at all, but I do like to go to restaurants in the area and hang out with my friends. As far as places to eat, I have several favorites.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I dedicate my shoutout to my Mom, family, friends, and my man. I am truly blessed with love in this life, and it is one of my greatest gifts. My family has encouraged me since childhood to follow my passions and talents. My Mom always told me I could do anything I put my mind to and that I was gifted with an eye for patterns and designs. All my family members have been my powerful cheerleading squad and support systems. My Mom and Auntie Bennie, in particular, spent countless hours looking at my designs. Their feedback, excitement, patience, and encouragement motivated me to continue to pursue my artistic goals. Only they will get this, but “Gooo A Team!” Not only did my family encourage my artistic career, but they knew that I had a way of making connections with people. They have seen how I struggled with dyslexia, bipolar, and cancer. They knew I was meant to show the world how I conquered life’s challenges and have helped others through that process. The true love and support of my man inspire me every day. My friends are incredible, too. They are loyal, have loved me even through the darkest times, and we celebrate our wins. All the beliefs and encouragement from my loved ones are why I am happy, inspired, and alive today.

Kelly Clifford, owner of Kavka Designs, is not only very kind but also has an eye for talent and trusts her instincts. Working with her and her company was the catalyst I needed to propel my career. Her connections allowed me to design products for some of the biggest companies in the US.
I look forward to collaborating with her in the future.
Author & public speaker Bob Proctor has considerably influenced my life. I respected him and admired his teachings. He was a man who led by his principles. His passion and dedication to his mission to help people worldwide was inspiring. I watched his YouTube videos and listened to his audiobooks countless times, finding more gems each time I heard his messages. He talked about the power of the human mind and offered tools to optimize them. Although he has left this earth plane, he lives on in my mind and many others.
Linda West’s book “Advanced Manifesting With Frequencies,” was a game changer for me. I have studied the law of attraction, the attitude of gratitude, manifestation, and the power of one’s thoughts my whole life. One of my favorite books and documentaries for many years was The Secret by Rhyda Burns, and it still is. Linda West took the fantastic information in that book and explained how to apply that knowledge and take it a step further. She described how to use one’s energetic frequency to manifest things into one’s reality.
Emmet Fox & Florence Scovel Shinn were incredible thought leaders of their time. My Mom used to read their information to me as a small child. Their perspectives resonated with me and shaped my young mind.
Some people say you only need one person to believe in you to succeed, and I have a phenomenal crew! I shout out to everyone who has been there for me along my journey and those who will come.
