We had the good fortune of connecting with Hannah Kemp and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Hannah, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
After working in the wedding industry for 5 years doing florals and styling I saw an excellent opportunity to step into a larger role of wedding and event planning. Pursuing this allows me to work with couples start to finish on gorgeous designs and making sure their day is carefully curated and thoughtfully executed.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My attention to detail and experience in weddings through other vendor responsibilities sets me apart in this industry. Having worked in both floral design and for an event venue, I have a strong understanding of vendor relationships and the importance of working as a team to bring my couples vision to life.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Being based in Western Colorado has allowed me the opportunity to experience the beauty Telluride, Crested Butte, Vail, Gateway, and Aspen have to offer. Any one of these gorgeous mountain towns has so many things to offer. A morning hike followed by a picnic lunch with epic views is first on my list whenever I have guests come to visit.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would not be where I am in my life today without the love and support of my two best friends. I met Rachel and Becky at Dahlia Floral Design when I first moved from North Carolina. Their unwavering support and encouragement has meant the world to me as I’ve entered this next chapter.
