Meet Kim Lang | Owner/Instructor

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kim Lang and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kim, what’s the end goal, career-wise?
My for myself and Lime Light Fitness is to be an artist and a studio that provides space for individuals to develop their talents in a way that expands their specific talents. Professionally I’d like to be running a financially sustainable studio with a wide variety of dance, aerial, and choreography classes. I would also like to have a teacher training program.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I have danced since I was 6. My degree is in dance, and I am the Artistic Director of a non-profit dance company in Northern Colorado- High Performance Dance Theatre, which was founded in 1996. Choosing an artistic career has not been easy financially but it has filled my heart and my creative need immensely. It would be wonderful if art could be valued more and the importance of art be understood.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would take them on a hike to Horsetooth Rock. There are so many wonderful restaurants in Northern Colorado, but I would definitely take them to the Rio and Lucilles. I would invite them to a class at Lime Light Fitness! And I would try to see a performance at the Lincoln Center or one of the great music venues – like Mishawaka.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
All of my instructors- Shontay, Andrea, Chelsea, Christina, JJ, Kelly, Tara, Jemima, Emily, Kathleen, Clare, Elliot, Jes, & Kate
All of my students!!!
And my family- Mikayla and Dan!!!
