Meet Rolos Rios | Youth Lyricist teacher & Electrician

We had the good fortune of connecting with Rolos Rios and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Rolos, how do you define success?
Success is an investment. An investment of time, effort and energy, education, networking, and money. When you view success as an investment it encourages a mindset long-term planning, consistent effort, and strategic allocation of resources.
Investing in success also means being prepared for risks and understanding that not all investments pay off immediately or as expected. Just as with financial investments, diversifying your efforts and continuously reassessing your strategy is vital. However the payoff in this investment is not just the tangible achievements, but also personal growth and satisfaction of achieving your goal. In this light, success becomes a worthy return of investment encompassing financial, personal, and professional growth!

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I make hip Hop and lyrics for inspiration and understanding!I am most proud to have embedded a brand into my community that they proudly vouch for and cosign in terms of content and quality! Although not widely advertised I take pride in being a hip hop artist that maintains clean lyrics. As far as my professional status of today, it all stems from self-awareness. The ability to know oneself is not to say that it is easy to operate as oneself especially when it is controversial to the standards of society or ahead of its time. It’s my opinion that my nature and willingness to embody an individual on a blank road map led me to overcome the obstacles on the path to get to where I am today.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Okay let’s start from the beginning, I would recommend Consuelos for the urban egg for breakfast (their French toast is phenomenal). After that I would suggest a hike on the devil’s backbone or bobcat ridge, followed by bowling and laser tag at 830 North. Finally I would make reservations to the whiskey or bonefish grill just before going downtown to catch a show at the Aggie or the Mish! Wash, rinse, repeat!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would really like to recognize my hip hop peers in general, friends, family and network. I would like to dedicate my shout out to Emma of BPMM, for all of the reinforcement she does for my brand!
Kind Dub for all of the help in the places that allow me to produce quality hip hop!
