We had the good fortune of connecting with Jasmine Rice and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jasmine, have you ever found yourself in a spot where you had to decide whether to give up or keep going? How did you make the choice?
Determining whether to keep going or to give up is a nuanced decision. There are times when perseverance is essential, and there are moments when “giving up” or letting go is the right choice. Hear me out.
Life is about pushing yourself, navigating through challenges, and emerging stronger. I’ve faced my fair share of messy situations that have truly tested me. The key is to process the situation, acknowledge your emotions, and then rise to keep moving forward because growth often lies just beyond our greatest struggles.
However, giving up or quitting also has its place—not in giving up on life, but in specific aspects of it. For instance, letting go of a toxic friendship, relationship, or situation can be incredibly liberating. Holding on to something that harms you only holds you back. Recognizing when to release what’s weighing you down is just as important as knowing when to persevere.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to anything in life. We are all individuals, each requiring different ingredients for our unique paths at various times in life. This philosophy sets my coaching apart. I provide a variety of options and tailor my techniques to fit the needs of each client, ensuring a personalized and adaptable approach.
My journey to where I am today has been shaped by navigating the obstacles life threw at me. With nearly 20 years in the non-profit sector, I once thought I would retire from it. However, life had other plans. By listening to my gut and embracing change, I found my true calling as a transformational life coach.
What I want the world to know is this: to make any meaningful change, you must be willing to do the work. You can read countless self-help and personal growth books, attend therapy, work with coaches, and take courses, but unless you are committed to putting in the effort to better yourself, you won’t see true transformation. Guidance can provide direction, but ultimately, you are responsible for your own change, growth and happiness.
I am most proud of the resilience and adaptability I’ve developed along my journey. These qualities have allowed me to help others find their unique paths and make lasting changes in their lives. My story is one of continuous learning, perseverance, and a commitment to helping others create lives they love.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
