Meet Ellen Neufeld MSN, CRNA, APRN | Nurse Anesthetist & Owner of Aviva Med Spa

We had the good fortune of connecting with Ellen Neufeld MSN, CRNA, APRN and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ellen, what is the most important factor behind your success?
I have been a Nurse Anesthesiologist for over 17 years. While it has been an extremely rewarding career, the nature of giving anesthesia only allows for brief interactions with patients. I love medical aesthetics as it allows me to connect with my patients on a deeper level and build long-lasting relationships with them.
I believe that honesty and connection have been the most important factors behind my success. Taking the time to get to know my patients on a personal level and create a connection builds trust. We work together to build a treatment plan that truly fits their needs and desired outcomes. My clients know that I will always be honest and upfront with them which helps them make decisions about their care without feeling like I am “selling” to them.
It is wonderful to be a part of my patients’ journeys and to help them feel better about themselves and discover their inner confidence.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I think what sets me apart is that I deeply care for each and every client of mine. I treat my clients like family and am truly invested in helping them achieve their goals. I am also proud of our unique business model. At Aviva, we are all about total body wellness and believe that when you look good, you feel good! We offer services that help our clients feel their best from head to toe. I am also excited to expand our total body wellness services with some exciting plans for the future!
The other thing that sets me apart is my nurse anesthesia background. I have been a nurse for over 27 years and Nurse Anesthetist for over 17 of those years. My decades of medical experience allow me to provide expert care to my patients.
Getting to where I am today was not easy. I have a medical background, not a business one. So I found those types of decisions to be very challenging. I learned a lot of things the hard way and have definitely regretted some of the decisions I’ve made. That said, I have always trusted my gut and believed that I can do hard things. I think I will always be learning and growing as I continue to build Aviva Med Spa.
One of the messages I try to put out in the world is that taking care of yourself is not vain. As we age, we notice changes in our face and bodies and it is Ok to do things that make you feel better on the inside and outside. I always ay that getting facial treatments is just like going to the gym for your body!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
In Denver, we would head downtown and walk around the 16th Street Mall and then the Highlands. We would also be sure to check out the boutiques in Cherry Creek. Favorite places to eat include Uncle Ramen, Uchi, and Barolo Grill. Other must see places include the Denver Botanic Gardens, Red Rocks, and a long weekend in the town of Breckenridge or Vail.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Candace Clay is my former Galderma rep and she deserves a HUGE shoutout. Her influence and support was absolutely instrumental in building Aviva Med Spa.
