We had the good fortune of connecting with Danielle Webster and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Danielle, how do you think about risk?
Risk taking is my middle name. It can be scary and maybe a little unknown, but it’s not until we push ourselves out of comfort zone that things really start to happen, and helps you figure out who you are. I’m a little impulsive, and most of the times the risk pays off. Moving to Denver was a risk, I knew one person and I ended up building my whole career here. Buying a DJ controller was a random decision and I just wanted to learn, I dropped money on it for no reason and it turned into a whole career. Buying a ticket to Bali 2 weeks before the trip with not much plan ended up being one of the best adventures I’ve ever had. Sometimes you just gotta do the random/ weird/ last minute thing on a gut feeling and go with it. Ya Never know what circles back around in life so experience as much as you can and take risks going outside your normal comfort zone.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m both a photographer and a DJ and they’re different forms of creativity but can have similarities in what I bring to the table. I say I take time to add my personality into my work; whether it’s shooting or DJing. I like to inspire and teach people while I work with them, whether it’s helping them pose or be more comfortable in front of the camera, or by playing music that shows where new songs originated from and linking old to new. I Just love showing people how everything can be connected. My dirty south style DJing is definitely very specific of a sound for the city we’re in, and sets me apart in the sound and style of music I play here. My editing and photography style is vibrant, full of color, and always has that raw, human element to my work.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love LoHi And RiNo area for hanging out, bars like Meadowlark or Matchbox for hiphop with amazing DJs. To eat we can get pizza at Cart Driver, or tacos from La Loteria. Illegal Pete’s is a must as well. I’m a summer girl so I’ll def take you to rooftop bar + pool for drinks and vibes in Cherry Creek, like Clayton Hotel or Halcyon. The old Esquire movie theater can be cute for a movie date, or skip the movie and end up at Dons for a nightcap.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d say my whole brand name and vibe comes from Jimi Hendrix, the idea of the electric lady as a modern day siren or muse that brings sparks of creativity wherever they go. However Recently, I started looking into the life and background of Paris Hilton. Reading her story has been very encouraging and was hard but brave for her to tell. Her book meant a lot to me and inspired me in numerous ways. As we get older we need to look up to the people and generations who can guide us through aging gracefully and with excitement! I look at paris and think her 40’s are just as good if not better than her 20’s and that’s the outlook on life we all need more of, that we can grow older and still be our badass selves while making a difference and inspiring the people coming after us to never give up and keep going. Our identities can evolve
