Meet Ana Temu Otting | President/CEO

We had the good fortune of connecting with Ana Temu Otting and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ana, can you tell us more about your background and the role it’s played in shaping who you are today?
My story begins with my parents. My father came from Mexico as an economic refugee, and my mother escaped genocide during the Guatemalan Civil War. I was raised with a deep sense of gratitude for the opportunities this country has to offer and a sense of responsibility to do good and provide for my family.
As a little girl, I witnessed the hardships my parents faced due to their undocumented status in the country. It wasn’t until I was older that I could put a name to many of the injustices my family endured. This realization was the main catalyst for my activism.
I have spent nearly 15 years in politics and public policy. I started working as a community organizer, bringing people together to pass comprehensive immigration reform with a pathway to citizenship and the DREAM act. I have worked on several pieces of pro-immigrant legislation that have passed in the state of Colorado, including driver’s licenses for all, in-state tuition for undocumented students, and the repeal of Colorado’s “Show Me Your Papers” law.
After several years of working on public policy, I realized that to pass legislation that could have a real impact, someone from the community needed to be in a position of power to truly make change. I started working on candidate campaigns, from the presidential to gubernatorial levels, hosting rallies, organizing key stakeholders across the country and Colorado, and directing voter outreach strategies for new Americans.
This moved me to start my own political consulting firm, bringing human-centered strategies that create measurable positive impacts on the community. During this time, I was responsible for handling the printing needs of each client. I found it challenging to find an accessible, unionized print shop that specialized in political printing with quick turnarounds. Determined to make projects come to life, I said to myself, “I can hit print,” and set out to find some printers. I started with two office printers in my basement, handling small jobs like brochures and flyers. Today, we are a fully operational print shop with proud unionized Teamster employees, serving all political needs in Colorado and the Mountain West.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Corazon Printing is a proud woman-of-color-owned union print shop specializing in sustainable printing services that respect the environment while delivering the highest-quality results. We are experts in political printing for campaigns, non-profits, and community members.
Having spent over a decade in advocacy and public policy, we knew holding core values like economic prosperity for all and environmental responsibility would be crucial for us. We have proudly built a business that lives out those values every day. We utilize only recycled paper with biodegradable toner, ensuring our prints are as eco-friendly as possible. Our employees are all Teamsters Union members, ensuring our high standards of providing a thriving wage and fair working condidtions are seen through.
We know the courage it takes to run for office and the overwhelming amount of tasks a first-time candidate needs to keep track of. We want to be a helpful partner for people running for office for the first time by providing an all-inclusive starter kit to help candidates get out there to win over voters. Our First-Time Candidate package is one of a kind, offering 250 business cards, 250 BRE’s (Business Return Envelopes), 25 Rally Signs, 500 4″x 9″ Palm Cards, and 2 hours of design services for your palm card or logo. This package is meant to cover all of your bases to get your campaign running on the right foot from the start.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
A walk around McKay Lake in Westminster, CO. A beer at Rails End Brewery. A day at the lake at Boyd Lake, or a day at the pool at the Bay in Broomfield, CO. A concert at Levitt Pavillion or salsa dancing at Raices Brewing.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My mother is my driving force to do and be better- I will forever be grateful for her courage and optimism. My partner in business and love, Seth, for embracing this wild rollercoaster of a life.
