We had the good fortune of connecting with Rosie Mencia and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Rosie, what are you inspired by?
For me, inspiration comes from my love for people and the deep connections we share. I’ve always been fascinated by the way we, as human beings, are all on our own journeys—yet we have this incredible capacity to help each other along the way. Whether I’m working with someone through sound therapy, biofield tuning, or spiritual coaching, it’s about holding space for them to feel seen, heard, and supported. I think that’s where my heart truly comes alive.
One of my greatest influences has been Ram Dass. His teachings on love and connection remind me that we’re all just walking each other home. That idea resonates deeply with me. It’s not about fixing people or changing them; it’s about helping them reconnect with who they already are. He talked about seeing the divine in everyone, and that’s a core part of what I try to embody in my work. When I’m able to help someone release old energy or step into a new phase of their journey, I feel like I’m witnessing the beauty of their transformation—and that’s incredibly inspiring.
What I’ve learned along the way is that inspiration can come from anywhere, as long as we’re open to it. It can show up in the smallest moments—a conversation, a kind gesture, even a walk in nature. I’ve found that when I stop trying to control where inspiration comes from, it arrives in the most unexpected ways. There’s this sense of magic in that openness. Sometimes, just watching someone find a moment of peace in their healing journey can spark something inside me, reminding me of the power of presence.
I’ve also been on my own path of growth and healing, and I know firsthand how powerful it is to be surrounded by people who lift you up when things get heavy. I’ve had moments in my life where I felt completely lost, disconnected from myself and others, but those experiences have taught me so much about resilience and the power of community. Every person I meet, every story I hear, reminds me that we are all more alike than we are different. And in those moments of connection, I find inspiration to keep going, to keep growing, and to keep offering what I can to the world.
What inspires me most is witnessing people’s transformation—the way they come alive when they realize they’re not alone in their struggles. It reminds me that we’re all here to support each other. If we’re open to the idea that inspiration can come from anywhere, it really does. That’s a lesson I carry with me every day.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My business, Rosebud & Sprout, is rooted in helping people reconnect with themselves on a deeper level, to heal and realign from within. What sets us apart is the personal touch we bring to our services. Every session is carefully crafted to meet people where they are in their journey, with love and without judgment. We focus on the individual’s energy, their unique experience, and what they need to feel more connected to themselves. Whether it’s through biofield tuning, sound therapy, or spiritual coaching, the aim is to help clients release stuck energy and feel more empowered in their daily lives.
What excites me most is witnessing those moments of clarity and healing in my clients—the way they leave feeling lighter, more in tune, and more whole. That’s what I’m most proud of: creating a safe, welcoming space where transformation can happen. My services are truly for anyone looking to explore their inner world, shift their energy, and feel more aligned. Whether you’re new to these practices or have been on your spiritual path for a while, there’s always something for everyone.
It definitely wasn’t easy. My journey has been filled with ups and downs, but every step has shaped the business into what it is today. There were times when I questioned everything—whether I was on the right path, whether I could actually make a difference. On top of that, balancing personal challenges like the loss of loved ones, business struggles, and my own journey of healing made it feel like there were obstacles at every turn.
What helped me push through was reconnecting with my why. I had to remind myself of the deeper purpose behind what I’m doing—helping others find their way, especially in moments of uncertainty. My support system, including my husband Jay and my close friends, also kept me grounded. They reminded me that sometimes we need to pause, reflect, and adjust our course without giving up. I’ve learned that resilience comes from trusting the process and knowing that even when things fall apart, there’s a deeper lesson waiting to be discovered.
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that failure isn’t something to be feared—it’s where the growth happens. There’s no such thing as a perfect path, and the beauty is in the imperfections and the missteps because that’s where we find our strength. I’ve also learned the importance of self-compassion. Running a business while working on yourself requires balance, and you can’t pour from an empty cup. It’s essential to take time for yourself, listen to your body, and practice what you preach.
I want the world to know that Rosebud & Sprout is more than just a business—it’s a space for connection, healing, and realignment. My story is one of personal growth, perseverance, and the power of spiritual practices. I’ve been through deep lows and profound highs, and I’ve come to realize that the true essence of success is found in those moments of vulnerability and growth.
I want people to feel encouraged to step into their own journeys of healing, knowing that it’s okay to not have all the answers. My services are designed to meet you where you are, whether you’re seeking a sense of peace, need to release old patterns, or are looking to deepen your spiritual practice. Rosebud & Sprout offers an accessible option for anyone looking to feel more balanced and connected to themselves, no matter where you are on your journey. At the heart of it, my brand is about welcoming people into a space where they can rediscover themselves and feel empowered to move forward with love and intention.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend were visiting Denver, I’d make sure to give them a week filled with wellness, adventure, and authentic experiences that capture the heart of the city. Here’s what our week would look like:
Day 1:
We’d start with a relaxed, healthy breakfast at a cozy local café, enjoying fresh, wholesome options. After catching up, I’d offer them a private sound bath or biofield tuning session to help ground and center. The evening would be spent enjoying a peaceful sunset picnic at Sloan’s Lake Park, surrounded by nature, where we could talk and enjoy some nourishing, homemade snacks.
Day 2:
We’d dive into Denver’s urban culture, exploring local markets and neighborhoods filled with art and creative energy. After a morning of walking, we’d stop for a healthy lunch at a spot that offers fresh, locally sourced meals. The afternoon might include a visit to a museum or a walk along the river, followed by a relaxing evening enjoying herbal teas, and just soaking in the vibe.
Day 3:
I’d take them for a hike in the nearby mountains, where the air is crisp, and the views are stunning. We’d pack a picnic lunch to enjoy at the summit, focusing on simple, clean foods. Afterward, we’d head back into town for a relaxing evening of self-care, maybe joining a yoga session to wind down.
Day 4:
This day would be all about self-care and wellness. We’d start with a light morning yoga or meditation session, followed by a visit to a local eatery that focuses on plant-based or farm-to-table meals. The rest of the day could be spent visiting botanical gardens or finding quiet spots in nature where we could relax, reflect, and rejuvenate. To end the day, we’d enjoy a light, healthy dinner and spend the evening reflecting on our wellness journey.
Day 5:
We’d take time to explore Denver’s art and music scene, starting with a visit to an artsy neighborhood known for its vibrant murals and galleries like the RiNo Art District. We’d grab a nourishing lunch. In the evening, we could enjoy a relaxed, soulful atmosphere, perhaps accompanied by healthy drinks like kombucha, mock-tails or freshly brewed teas.
Day 6:
For a bit of adventure, we’d head out for another hike or a day trip to one of Denver’s beautiful nature reserves, where we could walk or even do some light climbing. Afterward, we’d enjoy a creative activity, like pottery or painting, followed by a healthy dinner made with local, organic ingredients. This day would be all about balancing movement with creativity and nourishment.
Day 7:
On our last day, we’d keep things relaxed with a wholesome brunch at a quiet café. Then, we’d spend the afternoon wandering through a local garden or park, taking in the beauty of the natural surroundings. The evening would be simple and peaceful, perhaps with a light, healthy meal at home or somewhere cozy. It would be the perfect way to wind down and reflect on the week.
Denver’s magic is in its connection to nature and the sense of balance it brings to life. Whether it’s through hiking in the mountains, practicing yoga, or eating clean and fresh foods, I’d want my best friend to experience the calm, balanced energy that Denver offers. It’s all about tuning into the wellness of both body and mind, and there’s no better place to do that than here.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There are so many people and influences that have shaped my journey, and it’s hard to narrow it down to just one. First and foremost, I have to give a shoutout to my husband, Jay. He has been my rock through it all—whether I was soaring or struggling, he’s always stood by my side with unwavering love and support. His gentle spirit and positivity helped me through some of the darkest times in my life, and I truly don’t know where I’d be without him. He deserves so much recognition for the role he plays in both my personal and professional life.
My sister also holds a special place in my heart. She’s been there with me through thick and thin, and her presence in my life has been a source of strength. During some of my most challenging moments, she was there, and I’ll never forget the love and encouragement she’s always shown me. Together with Jay, they’ve been my pillars.
I also have to recognize Ram Dass—his teachings on love and connection have deeply influenced my path. His work helped me embrace the idea that we’re all just walking each other home, and that’s something I try to bring into my work every day. His wisdom and words have guided me through both my personal growth and in how I hold space for others on their healing journeys.
Lastly, I want to shout out to the community of people I work with—the clients who trust me with their healing, the friends and mentors who have guided me, and the wellness communities that have welcomed me with open arms. Every single person I’ve worked with has taught me something valuable, and they’ve helped me grow into the person I am today.
When I reflect on my journey, I realize just how much of it has been shaped by the love and support of others. It’s easy to get caught up in the hustle of life, but I encourage anyone reading this to take a moment and think about the people who have helped them along the way. Who has been your rock? Who’s shown up for you in moments when you needed it most? It’s such a powerful reminder that we don’t walk this path alone. A little bit of gratitude can go a long way in recognizing just how connected and supported we truly are.
