We had the good fortune of connecting with Wyatt Lovera and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Wyatt, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
We wanted to build a business that had a true positive impact on our community. We help people take their first step on the path to homeownership by offering tailored representation and resources during their rental search. After finding their perfect rental with the best incentives, we curate knowledge-based homebuyer guides the empower our renters to take the big leap into homeownership one day! Knowledge is power, and we want every person to know about every type of first-time homebuyer program available. We believe in homeownership for all, and do not want people to miss out simply because they are not aware of how close they truly are to being able to own a home.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
We are super proud to be true first time homebuyer allies. We back up our promises with real action as we work with people far before they’re able or willing to buy their first home. We encourage our renters to make sound financial choices and fully acknowledge individual challenges and needs. Not everyone needs to be a homeowner, and not everyone should rent for 5+ years before buying a home. We dedicate ourselves to being allies in every scenario.
We started as a fully independent business breaking into a very competitive rental locating market in Denver. We wanted to set ourselves apart and we did that by caring for our team first and foremost. How we care for our team is how we care for our clients. We constantly ask for feedback and rapidly implement practices and processes that empower our team. We saw a gap between renting and the large step into homeownership and we took the leap to become as knowledgeable and as value-forward as possible.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would take them to walk my favorite park, Wash Park. Maybe go out on a little paddle boat ride. Then, if its the weekend we would check out 1 or 2 farmer’s markets. Pearl street is our favorite. For a great lunch we would check out the Highlands and bounce around between Avanti, Bartaco, Fox and the Hen. On another day, a brunch in Union Station would start the day and we would explore LoDo. Then, we would head out to the mountains to spend a couple of days between Vail and Aspen, two of the most aesthetically amazing towns to visit.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My family. I was brought up learning about real estate and how powerful it is in everyone’s financial independence journey. My close friends who have trusted me to guide them in their own homeownership journey. And mentors along the way who opened my eyes to the forces that keep individuals renting for a lot longer than maybe makes financial sense.
