Meet Dominic Magnifico | Founder & Developer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Dominic Magnifico and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Dominic, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
House of Giants was born out of frustration with the status quo. Working in traditional agency models showed us exactly what needed to change: too many bodies thrown at a problem, not enough real analysis.
We saw agencies that barely scratched the surface. Folks taking whatever was said at face value, tossing out false promises, and churning out a subpar end product. That didn’t sit well with us.
So we started House of Giants to break that cycle. We treat clients like true partners, diving deeper into each challenge to find a creative, tailored solution. To us, it’s about collaboration and honest problem solving.

What should our readers know about your business?
We started House of Giants because we were tired of the same-old, same-old agency approach that felt bloated and out of touch. Honestly, we believed digital experiences deserved to be more than just another “pretty” website. They should push boundaries and make people say, “holy shit, that’s cool.”
We definitely ran into some challenges along the way, as most businesses do. Early on, we wrestled with taking on projects that didn’t align with our core strengths, and learning that not every client wants to break the rules like we do. Overcoming those challenges meant doubling down on what sets us apart: a relentless drive to solve real-world problems through design and code, and never letting trends or buzzwords overshadow actual user needs.
What we’re most proud of is how we merged the rebellious, “punk rock” vibe with high-quality, future-proof solutions. We’re not just slapping on a pretty layout; we’re digging into the meat of the business, analyzing data, user flows, and brand goals so we can deliver something that truly transforms the way they operate. Along the way, we’ve learned that honest communication beats sugarcoating any day, and that being silly every once in a while keeps the creativity flowing, even in the most demanding projects.
Ultimately, what we want the world to know is that House of Giants isn’t just another dev shop. We’re a partner that sees possibility in every problem and treats every client’s vision like it’s our own. Being bold is part of our DNA, and we believe that when you mix raw creativity, a bit goofiness, and hardcore technical chops, you can build digital experiences that stand the test of time, and make a real impact.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Ohh interesting question.
– Always have to start the day with a burrito from Santiagos. Too many people are in search of the crazy wild best burrito in town. Santiagos is solid every single time.
– Have to go to the mountains. Manitou, Grand Lake, get some fishing in somewhere. If it’s winter, ice fishing on Lake John is quite a trip.
– If you’re trying to party we love places like Matchbox, Milk Bar, Trve, Blacksky.
– Get some coffee from Crema or Corvus
– South Broadway, the Santa Fe Art District, great places to walk around.
– Then go to an Avs game. Love hockey.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Oh boy. Countless peers and mentors have shaped our path over the past decade. We’d be remiss not to shout out our original founding partners, Daniel Luke and Kelly Bleck. The three of us started House of Giants roughly ten years ago, and although they’ve each moved on to their own ventures, we couldn’t have built this without them.
We also owe credit to Legwork, a Denver-based company that showed us what a badass, punk-rock agency could look like. The peers we met there, and the time we spent absorbing up that energy, influenced so much of who we are today.
We have a co-located office with our great friends at Lumenati (a Denver based Video Production shop). We absolutely have to shout them out for maintaining an incredibly cool space with awesomely creative people. We ❤️ Lumenati.
And of course, our families, who ride out the wild highs and lows of building a small business. Their support and patience is invaluable.
