Meet Kathleen Kershisnik Sieg | Doctor of Physical Therapy

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kathleen Kershisnik Sieg and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kathleen, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
My husband, Baylor, and I first envisioned creating a collaborative healthcare clinic during our college years. Our shared goal was to integrate Physical Therapy and Chiropractic care to reduce pain more efficiently and help patients return to the activities they love—faster and with more comprehensive support. Historically, these two professions have often been at odds due to overlapping scopes of practice and similar treatment techniques. We recognized, however, that this divide could compromise patient care. So, we chose a different path—one rooted in collaboration, open communication, and patient centered care.
At Rooted in Rehab, we’ve built a model that emphasizes the unique strengths of each discipline while also embracing the shared tools both professions bring to the table. As a Physical Therapist, I focus on stability—helping patients properly engage weak or underutilized muscles, developing personalized home exercise programs, and building long-term strength and stability. Baylor, as a Chiropractor, focuses on mobility—restoring joint alignment, lengthening tight fascia, optimizing movement patterns, and assessing the neurological system to better understand its role in each diagnosis. In addition, our approach incorporates a wide range of manual therapy techniques commonly used across both disciplines, including myofascial release techniques, cupping, and dry needling. This integrated method allows us to address the body as a whole and deliver highly individualized, effective care.

What should our readers know about your business?
What Sets Us Apart:
At Rooted in Rehab, we’re a small, independently owned practice that prioritizes quality over quantity in every aspect of care. It’s just the two of us—Baylor and I—running the practice. We are your providers, the ones answering your calls, managing scheduling, and personally advocating for your health every step of the way.
In today’s healthcare environment, it can be difficult to find a provider who takes the time to truly listen, offer an accurate diagnosis, and guide you toward the most effective treatment options. We recognize this growing gap in care, and we’ve intentionally created a model that’s different. We don’t hand you off to assistants. We don’t treat multiple patients at the same time. And we won’t lock you into recurring packages you may not need. Instead, we provide one-on-one care tailored to your unique goals and needs. Our goal is to offer honest, individualized, and evidence-based treatment that genuinely improves lives.
Lastly, we are unique in that we’re not just here for injuries—we’re also here for your general health maintenance and self-care. We believe in helping people feel their best not only when they’re recovering, but throughout their day-to-day lives. Our goal is to support you in staying strong, mobile, and pain-free—especially in an active lifestyle like we enjoy here in Colorado. Whether you’re recovering from an injury, dealing with a nagging issue, or simply looking to take better care of your body, we’re here to help. So the next time you’re considering a self-care activity, keep us in mind. We’d be honored to support you in any area that’s holding you back or keeping you from reaching your goals.
What Are You Most Proud Of:
What I’m most proud of is that our biggest referral source is word of mouth from our patients. We’ve grown this business from a single small treatment room to a full-scale clinic—because our patients value their care and trust us enough to send us their friends and family to care for too. That trust means everything to us.
Before starting Rooted in Rehab, I worked in a high-volume clinic where the focus was on money and seeing as many patients as possible in a day. I often left feeling unfulfilled—knowing I didn’t have the time to provide the level of care each person truly needed. That experience shaped the foundation of our current practice. From day one, we made intentional, one-on-one care our priority. Seeing that commitment result in meaningful outcomes and a loyal, motivated clientele is incredibly rewarding. It reaffirms that doing the right thing—providing quality over quantity—really does make a difference.
How We Got to Where We Are Today:
Like many small business owners will tell you, starting your own practice is no easy feat. You stop being an “on-the-clock” employee and become an “around-the-clock” business owner—double-checking every detail during and after business hours to ensure your work reflects the heart and values of your company.
Launching Rooted in Rehab was hard. It came on suddenly, felt overwhelming often, and required a big leap of faith. But we believe it was a strong nudge from God—a reminder to realign our priorities and focus on what matters most: quality patient care, true fulfillment in our careers, and the happiness of our family.
Like many of life’s biggest challenges, this experience has been one of the greatest gifts. We’ve learned that when you prioritize excellence in healthcare, both the patient and the provider benefit. And even on the hard days—when the hours are long and the responsibilities are heavy—we go home knowing we’ve tried our hardest to make a meaningful difference. That’s a lesson we’re proud to live by, and one we hope to pass on to our son as he grows up.
What We Want the World to Know About Us:
Rooted in Rehab is something truly special in today’s healthcare. We are a patient-centered practice that blends chiropractic care, physical therapy, and manual therapy to address the root cause of your condition—not just the symptoms. Our goal is to restore you to your strongest, most stable self so you can confidently return to the life and activities you love.
At Rooted in Rehab, we create individualized, multidisciplinary treatment plans tailored to each patient’s unique needs. Our approach is proactive and sustainable, focused on improving biomechanics, reducing pain, and preventing reinjury—not just offering temporary relief.
We care for patients of all ages—from infants to older adults—and treat a wide range of conditions across the entire body. In addition to our hands-on care, we offer nutritional guidance and supplement recommendations when appropriate, and we collaborate with a trusted network of physicians and specialists to ensure you receive well-rounded, comprehensive support.
Above all, we want people to know that you will be seen, heard, and cared for here—with clinical excellence and genuine compassion.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I was born and raised in Colorado and now have the pleasure of living near Chatfield reservoir in Littleton. Throughout my life my top places to visit, eat at, or hang out would be:
Visit/Hang Out
-Daniels Park lookout at sunset
-The sanctuary golf course (a golfers dream, from the views, conditions, and undulation)
-Paddle boarding, boating or just walking around Chatfield reservoir
-Red Rocks concert or sunrise
-Biking Waterton Canyon
-Hike White Ranch Park in Golden
Eat
-Sierra Restaurant or La Loma in Castle Rock (i love their green chili!)
-The Hungry Goat in Morrison
-Santiagos (I’ve loved a breakfast burrito there since I was a kid!)
-Breckenridge Brewery Farmhouse
-Venice Ristorante (amazing Italian food!)

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My godmother, Bridget Kleiderer, was not only a guiding light in my life but also my mentor in the field of Physical Therapy. From a young age, she inspired me to work hard, stay dedicated, and pursue a path where I could one day care for others the way she so passionately did. Although she sadly lost her battle with cancer in 2018, her radiant smile and unwavering love for her patients continue to inspire me every day. I carry her legacy forward by truly caring for and listening to my patients.
