We had the good fortune of connecting with Gregory Buford and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Gregory, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
At the age of 4, I told my parents that I was going to be a doctor and to call me Dr. Bill. Since then I have always sought after a career in medicine but never really thought that I would run my own business or pursue a career in Plastic Surgery. But at the heart of my goals lay an entrepreneurial spirit which has ultimately driven me to where I am today. I know what I want in a business and I know the type of clients that I would like to work with. Being able to dictate the look and feel of my businesses has allowed me to brand myself and each enterprise in a manner that I want without having to ask permission. And that has made all the difference.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
As a Plastic Surgeon I have had a tremendous amount of opportunities many of which I have created. In business, I have never been content behaving like the status quo or doing things like they have always been done and so I have strived to create businesses that effectively break the mold and reach beyond what others are doing. And while along the way I experienced a good number of failures, I have tried to learn from each of these and move forward. My story is one of persistence and never listening to the negative noise in the background.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I love Colorado and I love the fact that we are literally minutes away from postcard-quality vistas. To that, I make sure that I take my visiting friends to the foothills and the mountains so that they can be incredibly jealous about this wonderful state we live in! One of the most wonderful places to hang out is the Red Rocks Amphitheater. I have seen so many incredible shows that were only made even better given the backdrop of the stage against the city of Denver and the surrounding landscape of the red rocks. Hard to envision Denver without this!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to dedicate this to all the people who have believed in me. Life is a crazy game. While you can compete on your own, you can’t succeed without the help of those around you. And it is everyone who believed my stupid ideas and my outlandish dreams to which I dedicate this to! Thank you!
