How did you come up with the idea for your business?

Our community is comprised of some absolutely brilliant entrepreneurs and so we asked a few of them to tell us the story of how they came up with the ideas for their business.

It really wasn’t as much of an idea as it was my own life’s journey that lead me to start my own business, Ashva Yoga. I was born in Germany and spent many of my childhood vacations at my grandparents’ farm as I have always been an animal lover with a huge passion for horses. My background in horseback riding was jumping and dressage. In 1995 I realized my dream of moving to the U.S. and ended up in Colorado. Moose+Goose DIY Bead Bar was born out of spite and boredom. It’s my summer break before entering middle school, where I’ve been told will be a shock to my system in more ways than one, and all I wanted to do was play videogames and hide from the summer heat. My mom makes my brother and I take, what she likes to call, “brain breaks” throughout the day to get us away from the screens. My soap-making business began as a mission to heal and nurture my family’s skin, who had long struggled with various skin issues. I have struggled with various skin issues with very little relief. I went back to the basics. Soap should do more than just clean (while that’s a big part). It should also heal, moisturize, nurture, and fulfill all unique skin needs. Read More>>
