We had the good fortune of connecting with Ajedrea Silvestre and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi AJEDREA, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
Art and nature were my first environments in which I was immersed since I was a child.
My parents had an art gallery in Colombia and sold different artworks from a wide variety of artists for more than 30 years.

My love and passion for creative exploration has had a positive impact on my human development, being decisive when choosing it as my professional career path.
Arts are a powerful tool of human expression that reflects through aesthetics about the world and its configuration, revealing a personal way of observing, feeling, interpreting by our minds, hearts, senses and spirits throughout all of humanity.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
WHAT ARE THE LESSONS YOU HAVE LEARNED ALONG THE WAY?

Curiosity is the biggest mentor, exploring is a genuine state of freedom.
I’ve seen that art and nature are not separate, and creativity is a source of life.
Art is alchemy, indeed a medicine with the capacity to transform our energy and innermost nature in such revealing and sometimes mysterious ways.
Art is a silent seed or an egg about to hatch and when we retreat into the dance between devotion and vocation we witness our best selves
Furthermore, inspiration amalgamates all the pieces.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Starting with the Denver Botanic Gardens.

Colorado and Boulder itself has a variety of natural and cultural places that are especial to visit.

If you are looking for a multicultural atmosphere of books, tea/coffee, performances and other creative events then I’ll suggest to stop by Trident Booksellers and Cafe.
Near by some local museums, included the art space of exhibitions of the Boulder Public Library.

The Boulder Dushanbe Teahouse is a very fascinating and especial place, with a unique architecture, colors and patterns built by hand from Tajikistan.

The Dairy Arts Center with a variety of cultural visual and performing arts.

Also, Brainard Lake, a wonderful place to enjoy nature, you definitely would find mesmerizing views in the area since there’s a lot of Nature and hiking trails close to.

The Farmers Market in Boulder and Longmont are great alternatives to find organic vegetables, plants, food and herbs.

Nederland is a more natural mountain town with a special tea shops and gem store.

All depends on your interests…

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My parents, and sisters who always had faith in my creative potential, an of course various muses that float in and out of my life.
