Hi Aleena, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
When I decided to start FIXT I knew I was walking through uncharted territory but I went through a thorough process to ensure its success. It began with recognizing a pressing need in the market – the importance of maintaining clean and hygienic makeup tools. I noticed that many makeup enthusiasts and professionals faced challenges in effectively sanitizing their brushes, which could lead to skin irritations and infections. The beauty industry is so hyper-focused and investing heavily on “clean beauty” standards that we are blatantly ignoring a simple step in our regimens. Deep cleaning your makeup brushes is a small investment that can have a big impact on your health, makeup quality, and overall satisfaction with your makeup and brushes. It’s a simple step that can help to ensure that you look and feel your best every day. I delved into extensive market research and I analyzed the industry trends or lack thereof. I discovered that while there were some brush sanitizing products available, they often lacked effectiveness, or environmentally friendly options.

Starting my own makeup brush sanitizing business was not only driven by the potential for success but also by the desire to make a positive impact in the beauty and skin care industry. I want to empower makeup enthusiasts and professionals to prioritize hygiene and create a safer environment for everyone.

I am driven by my commitment to promoting hygiene standards within the beauty industry and I set out to develop a unique demand. I collaborated with experts in the healthcare field and invested in research and development to create an innovative sanitization method unique to makeup tools. DIY cleaning methods often fall short in ensuring optimal cleanliness and sanitization, leaving behind residual product and potentially harmful bacteria, transferring from client to client. My goal was to offer a solution that was not only highly effective at eliminating bacteria, dirt, and residue from brushes but also safe and sustainable for the environment. One of the biggest challenges I face is educating customers.

A response that I get regularly is that they are happy with cleaning their own brushes at home. Yes, I encourage customers to wash their makeup brushes at home! In fact, it is an important step in maintaining the quality of your brushes and ensuring that they remain hygienic. However, our cleaning services are able to sanitize your brushes thoroughly, which is especially important if you use your brushes on clients or share them with others.

Our unique process sets us apart by utilizing a combination of high-quality cleaning practices and advanced technology to thoroughly clean and sanitize your brushes.
