We had the good fortune of connecting with Alex Gore and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Alex, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
Success is a nuanced equation, encompassing factors like hard work, luck, talent, and making the right choices. However, the critical aspect often overlooked is the establishment of a robust ‘feedback’ loop within your business. This goes beyond gathering basic customer feedback. It entails ingraining the feedback mechanism into your operational fabric. Are you accurately modeling your creations? Are you actively engaging with those who are involved in the production process? Can you personally execute the tasks at hand?
It’s vital to integrate this knowledge into your business systems, constantly refining them and fostering a culture of shared insights among your team. In the business landscape, the swiftest and most precise feedback loop reigns supreme.
Moreover, your leadership team and employees must grasp the concept of a ‘catalyst.’ In chemistry, a catalyst accelerates a chemical reaction. Similarly, the speed at which you respond to information significantly impacts your feedback loop. Your ability to make informed decisions based on these responses reflects your intellect and experience. Accelerating your feedback loop leads to an accelerated learning curve.
Lastly, beyond these considerations, your success is contingent on the strategic positioning of your business. Your chosen market profoundly influences your trajectory, while your positioning within that market is paramount. It is pivotal to meticulously evaluate your niche and carve out a distinctive place for your brand.
What should our readers know about your business?
We have always chosen to do side projects at our firm, Our basic criteria were “Will this be awesome?” We did not ask, “Will this be easy?” Often those things worth doing, are the things not done yet, and sometimes they haven’t been done because they are hard. We chose in 2014 to design and build completely new and modern tiny homes. https://f9productions.com/atlas-tiny-house/. We then built even more advanced ones: https://f9productions.com/titan-tiny-house/, and then our own development: https://f9productions.com/mark-2/
This was hard work, with many lessons learned. But they helped us grow!
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
First I would start off with a hike up Lefthand Canyon Trail to Golden Age Hill. After that we would take a dip in the streat at Buckingham Park.
Then grab a bit to eat at Jefe’s in Longmont
Then go golfing at Saddleback Golf Course in Firestone
Lastly wrap it up with Beers at Acreage in Broomfield
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
