We had the good fortune of connecting with Alex Schmidt and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alex, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My thought process behind starting Alex Interviews was fairly simple, yet deeply complex. On the surface, I wanted the opportunity to simply talk to athletes, but under it all, I wanted the opportunity to give athletes from across the world a proper chance and exposure to more people across the nation.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I run the interviews page on Instagram talking to athletes, coaches, etc. The way I do it, on Instagram live, is different from almost anyone else. It hasn’t been easy to get where I am, it’s been a grind to get to 2k followers so far. I’ve learned that no matter how many shots that you take, you’ll miss some of them, so keep on shooting.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’d probably go to Coors Field, home of the Rockies. Stay downtown, and go to some Rockies games, enjoy the time. See the city, see the stadium, everything Denver has to offer.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d like to shoutout everyone I’ve done an interview with, everything I’ve been able to accomplish would not be possible without them.
