We had the good fortune of connecting with Alexander Raye Pimentel and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alexander Raye, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
Future of Film Productions is built on the idea of collaboration—bringing together influencers, artists, and creatives who each have unique talents and skills. Making a film isn’t just about the final product; it’s about giving everyone involved the opportunity to showcase their dedication, hard work, and artistry. Our collective approach allows each person to shine in their expertise, and when we create together, we all get recognized.

The stories I write, and the ones we collaborate on, serve as a reflection of real life. We explore who we are, who we want to be, and how we engage with the world—often through the lens of an anti-hero. These are characters who are flawed, who stumble, who are trying to figure things out just like the rest of us. They’re raw, relatable, sometimes messy, sometimes brilliant. They reflect reality, just as our films do.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Future of Film Productions is a company for artists, visionaries, and storytellers who want to create without the limitations of massive budgets or the expectations of Hollywood glamor. Our focus is on authenticity—characters that feel real, stories that matter, and a process that values every creative voice involved. Today, the film industry is shifting, with the influencer market leading the way. If you have a brand, an art form, or a unique perspective, there’s an opportunity to break through. The power is shifting back to the creators.

As for how I got here? I did the work. That’s it. It wasn’t easy—at times, it was brutal. But if you love what you do, that passion will push you through the toughest moments. Hard work, trial and error, and staying true to your artistic voice are what shape your success. Sometimes you need to make mistakes to realize what you don’t want your art to be, and sometimes those missteps lead you straight to your defining style. Stay authentic. Stay true to your voice and vision.

I was a high school dropout, and last year, my movie premiered at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. People used to tell me that dreams don’t come true. Now, those same people are cheering me on. If you believe in your vision and commit to the grind—no matter how hard it gets—you’ll bring your dreams to life.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Downtown Denver holds a special place in my heart. If I were showing my best friend around, we’d start our day with a ride on the light rail all the way to Union Station, where we’d grab a coffee and take in the historic charm. From there, we’d wander over to the Tattered Cover, browsing through books on film—or whatever catches their interest. The afternoon would be spent strolling the 16th Street Mall, exploring quirky shops, grabbing a bite to eat, and catching a movie. As the evening rolls in, we’d hop back on the light rail and head to Buckhorn Exchange for a classic Denver dinner.

Beyond downtown, we’d take a day to ride e-bikes around Chatfield, soaking in the scenery, and another day hopping between comic book shops across the city. To round out the trip, we’d escape into nature with a few days at Trapper’s Lake and the Flat Tops Wilderness Area—camping, hiking, fishing, and just taking in the breathtaking views. The perfect blend of city life and the great outdoors.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My success is rooted in the wisdom and guidance of great mentors. Tywon Williams, my platoon sergeant in the Army, taught me discipline, leadership, and accountability. He showed me the importance of faith, structure, and time management—lessons that shaped me into the person I am today. Kurt Wimmer encouraged me to step outside the traditional Hollywood system, helping me see the power of independent filmmaking and micro-budget productions. And Armando Cueva gave me invaluable insights into leadership—how to communicate, how to navigate tough conversations, and how to stay professional under pressure. These men helped shape my journey, and I carry their lessons with me every day.
