Meet Alexis Davison | Social Media Manager | CEO

We had the good fortune of connecting with Alexis Davison and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Alexis, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My last year of college, I had a realization that the majority of soon-to-be graduates get — the profound “what am I going to do now?”. And to be honest, for a while, I didn’t have an answer. I knew I needed a creative challenge and that I loved helping people, but how was that going to translate into a job? That’s when the idea was born. The thought process behind starting Peacock Marketing was deeply rooted in my passion for the marketing industry and my desire to bring visions to life. I realized I didn’t want a corporate marketing job that only allowed me to work with one company. Instead, I wanted to be a vessel for multiple small businesses, providing them with affordable, high-quality marketing services tailored to their unique needs. This realization inspired me to take the leap into entrepreneurship. I was motivated by the challenge of building something from the ground up and the potential for personal and professional growth.
It was also important to me to create a company that prioritized building long-term relationships with clients. I believe that successful marketing is not just about delivering results but also about understanding and addressing the unique needs of each client. By fostering strong, trust-based relationships, I aim to become a reliable partner who clients can turn to for honest advice and innovative solutions.
A peacock’s whole existence is about showing their feathers and attracting attention, and that’s exactly what we do for our clients. Peacock Marketing is driven by a blend of passion, strategic insight, and the aspiration to make a meaningful impact in the marketing world through dedicated client engagement, customized services, and having a good time doing it.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Peacock Marketing is a full-service marketing agency dedicated to helping small to mid-sized businesses flourish by providing affordable, high-quality marketing solutions tailored to their unique needs. What sets us apart is our commitment to building genuine relationships with our clients and truly understanding their goals and challenges. Our personalized approach ensures that every marketing strategy we create is aligned with our clients’ visions and objectives.
One of the things I am most proud of is the impact we’ve had on our clients’ growth. Seeing their businesses thrive as a result of our efforts is incredibly rewarding. I am also excited about the innovative campaigns we have planned for the future, which aim to push creative boundaries and deliver exceptional results.
Getting to where we are today has not been easy. Starting a business while still in college and making sacrifices, like moving states without knowing anyone, required a lot of courage and determination. The journey has been filled with challenges, from making a name for myself in a new place to navigating the competitive landscape. However, these obstacles have taught me invaluable lessons about resilience, adaptability, and the importance of a strong support system.
One key lesson I’ve learned is the importance of staying true to your vision while remaining flexible enough to pivot when necessary. Another is the value of persistence; there were times when giving up seemed like the easier option, but pushing through those moments has been essential to our success.
What I want the world to know about Peacock Marketing is that we are more than just a marketing agency; we are a partner dedicated to our clients’ success. Our story is one of passion, hard work, and a relentless pursuit of excellence. We believe in the power of great marketing to transform businesses and are committed to helping our clients show their feathers and capture the attention they deserve.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Ok, so a reminder that I’m still semi new to Colorado, so my recommendations are based off of the things I’ve gotten a chance to do/places I’d like to go! But, I’d ensure they have an unforgettable experience blending outdoor adventures, cultural exploration, and culinary delights. We’d start in Boulder, strolling down Pearl Street and enjoying drinks at one of the lively bars. We’d hike in Chautauqua Park to take in the stunning views of the Flatirons, followed by a meal at The Sink, a Boulder institution. For a sweet treat, Boulder Baked’s gluten-free goodies would be a must.
Exploring Boulder further, we’d have breakfast at the Dushanbe Tea House, visit the Boulder Farmers Market or the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art, and spend some time at the Boulder Reservoir. Sushi Den, my favorite food spot, would provide an unforgettable sushi experience.
A day trip to Denver would include breakfast at Syrup, exploring the Denver Art Museum and Civic Center Park, and catching a Rockies game at Coors Field. We’d dine in the trendy LoDo district, perhaps at Mercantile Dining & Provision, and cap off the day at Union Station.
A scenic drive to Estes Park would lead us to the breathtaking Rocky Mountain National Park, where we’d hike and enjoy a picnic amidst stunning views. We’d explore Golden next, visiting the Coors Brewery and having lunch at the Golden Mill. A visit to Red Rocks Amphitheatre for a hike is always a must.
We’d wrap up the trip with a day of snowboarding in Winter Park, followed by a relaxing evening back in Boulder. A farewell hangout at the best new hangout spot in town, Boulder Swim Club, would be the perfect way to reflect on the amazing week full of fun, excitement, and memorable experiences.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
This is an easy one, my mom and step dad. They push me past any doubt, give me business advice, words of encouragement, and also lay down the hard truths (those aren’t always fun but hey, sometimes it’s needed). They are a constant reminder that I can achieve my dreams. From starting a business in college to deciding to move states in less than 48 hours, they have always believed in and supported me. I grew up watching my mom effortlessly wear many hats — raising four children, running businesses, always there as a supportive wife and friend, and never missing a cheer competition or school function. I’ve always deeply admired how she manages everything without missing a beat, never once complaining about the challenges. Her unwavering work ethic has been a constant source of inspiration for me from a young age, and I credit much of who I am today to her. As for my step dad, Bryan, he walked into my life as if he’s always been there. His presence has been a guiding light throughout this entire journey. He gives the best advice and has an unwavering ability to make everyone around him feel valued and supported. I couldn’t do it without both of them. I’m truly so grateful to have an amazing support system.
Beyond my parents, Gary Vee has also been a tremendous source of inspiration for me. His relentless work ethic, authentic approach to business, and commitment to pushing past limitations have motivated me to think bigger and work harder. Gary Vee’s content and advice have challenged me to step outside of my comfort zone, embrace entrepreneurial risks, and stay dedicated to my goals. His influence has played a significant role in shaping my entrepreneurial journey and continues to inspire me to strive for greatness in everything I do.
