We had the good fortune of connecting with Amanda Hoying and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Amanda, can you share a quote or affirmation with us?
“You can only become truly accomplished at something you love. Don’t make money your goal. Instead pursue the things you love doing and then do them so well that people can’t take their eyes off of you.” – Maya Angelou
I first saw this quote on a card I received as a high school graduation gift. Maya Angelou’s words resonated deep within every cell of my being. To this day, I have the card framed and sitting by my front door as a reminder. For me, these words of advice speaks to the essence of truly living – finding your passion and then sharing it through your own work as a means to help others.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
What sets Wise Vibrations™ apart from other healing practices is the variety we offer. In every Chakradance™ session, clients explore not one, not two, but three healing modalities. Meditation, dance/movement, and mandala art are all incorporated in an hour and a half time frame. We focus on one of the seven major chakras in each session and use music, guided imagery, and mindfulness to align the whole self and embrace the individual’s personal life journey.
At Wise Vibrations™, we also offer Mindful Eating sessions. These sessions focus on using all of the physical and emotional senses to experience and enjoy the food choices clients make. We invite clients to intentionally nourish and fuel their mind, body, and soul . And, cultivate a mindFUL purpose with their food selections. This process is non-judgement based and an opportunity for a positive reframing of a personal relationship with food. As a former dancer and dance instructor, I am a strong advocate of a healthy relationship with food and am thrilled to share Mindful Eating.
I am most proud and excited about offering wellness sessions that are completely individualized. Each client will come with their own story. We provide the opportunity to explore and try something new. No prerequisites of any sort – clients need only to show up and be present for themselves. At Wise Vibrations™ we honor individuality, offer strength and support, are fully present, and represent creativity.
My own story…At a young age, I felt the powerful impact of aligning my own energy system. As a child, I couldn’t quite put words into the feeling of release and freedom I felt when I danced. But, I knew something magical happened within my mind-body-soul and I wanted to share this energetic vibration with others.
As an adult, sharing my passion for dance translated into over 20 years of dance instructing. Within this time frame, I instilled the electricity I felt when I moved across the dance floor with thousands of my dance students. I saw the therapeutic impact movement has on a human being with my students. The act of moving one’s body has both a simultaneous release and home-coming that I witnessed over and over again as I watched my dancers use their bodies to express emotions and stories.
After an extensive and intensive hip surgery, I was ready for a shift in my professional journey. I still wanted movement as part of my career, but I was now focused on the impacts of healing and holistic well being within a person. It was at this time that I moved to Colorado, with my family, and spent time studying Dance/Movement Therapy.
I then continued my soul search and found Chakradance™ and Mindful Eating. I dived into a time of deep continued training where I had my own personal, professional, and business transformation. Throughout this experience, I felt such a calming inner peace that was so palpable that I felt a passionate call to share with others.
Thus, the birth of Wise Vibrations™ emerged. I am proud to offer several complementary therapy modalities that I know has supported my individual growth. I’m here for my clients and am ready to provide them a space to connect to their own wise vibrations.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I love to read, and recently came across Stephanie Foo’s memoir, What My Bones Know”. Foo profoundly describes how our body holds and remembers what our mind struggles to speak. I relate to Foo’s explorations of many therapy modalities in the process of healing from my own childhood trauma. And, as a former dance instructor, I saw the healing impact movement has on a human being with my own students. “What My Bones Know” is a powerful example of using not just the mind and words but also the body and soul to heal, which is at the foundational core of Wise Vibrations™.
Wise Vibrations™ emerged because of the effort, support, love, and encouragement from many but especially from my family. My husband, Jared, and our two girls Abby and Grace are my biggest, loudest, and strongest backbones. Their empowerment lifts and carries me as I facilitate, guide, and work with my clients.
