We had the good fortune of connecting with Amanda Watson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Amanda, what habits do you feel play an important role in your life?
Never stop learning! In order to have longevity in my career, or any career for that matter, you have to continue to learn, grow and adapt to new markets and clientele. Continuing education has also allowed me to still have passion for the industry I fell in love with!

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
15 years in the industry and still going strong – it hasn’t always been easy but the challenge has driven me to better my craft and hone in on my business. As a luxury wedding photographer, the sky is the limit and I love taking to the skies to document legacies across the country.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Noisette for breakfast then explore the Denver Art Museum. Lunch at True Food Kitchen followed by shopping at Cherry Creek. Dinner and drinks at 54Thirty.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My mom was always my biggest cheerleader. She passed before I even started my career but is always the voice in the back of my head cheering me on and pushing me forward. I also have to thank some of my amazing industry friends that hold me accountable – Aisle Be With You Weddings, Hello Events and Ely Fair Photography have all had a hand in my success and are in my corner.
