Meet Ambrosia Vicari | Co-Founder and Marketing Specialist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Ambrosia Vicari and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ambrosia, what do you attribute your success to?
Many people put the likes of their own discipline and habits as the most important reason behind their success. We, however, allow our faith in God to steer our ship (business) in the direction God guides us. That being said, we attribute much of our success to the number one aspect of our business that is most talked about….our excellent customer service. Unlike many companies today that automate so much of their business to the point of almost no customer interaction, our clients speak highly about the personable traits we have as a company. When you call Scoopie Doo’s to start service, inquire about a bill, have a problem needing resolving, or simply want to switch service days, you’ll always reach a real person. Not only do we interact with our clients personally, but we also ensure the job is done; on-time, correctly, efficiently, and quickly. Just like our slogan: Clean Yards. Happy Pets. Peace of Mind. This truly makes Scoopie Doo’s not only successful but a memorable company as well.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Although Scoopie Doo’s started as a pet waste removal business, there is much behind the story of our company. As founders of this company, we have struggled through life having both been raised by the foster care and judicial system with little to no support and having to navigate the tough waters of life mostly alone. Growing up in such a way created many obstacles we had to battle that most have never known the difficulty of. Opening Scoopie Doo’s the pinnacle of success and providing a way out of becoming just another statistic lost in the broken system.
Our paths took us down separate roads but lead us to our perfect match. One of us took the business school route and the other took the customer service route, and in meeting each other we were able to intertwine both of our best attributes. While one of us was unemployed and the other working 2 delivery jobs, we started Scoopie Doo’s in November of 2024. Not knowing where it would lead, we started our entrepreneur journey.
Our first 6 weeks presented the most challenging experience, with no clients and much of our budget spent on advertising, and hours spent trying to seek out clients. December came around and our first client was onboarded, then another, and another, and another. And within 3 months we were both to pursue Scoopie Doo’s full time.
The most important lesson we have both learned is to be patient and consistent. It takes time to gain clients and takes consistency to keep growing as a company. There have been many moments of wanting to give up and return to working a 9-5 for that guaranteed paycheck, but as with any goal, you can’t be half in and half out. You got to give your all to really see the results of your hard work.
Having both come from a disadvantaged background, we seek to serve the community as a company helping our clients with a simple but greatly needed service. Whether elderly, disabled, overworked professionals, busy moms, single parents, veterans, or anyone seeking one less chore to do, they call on Scoopie Doo’s. We love being a part of our clients lives and making life a little more enjoyable.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If we could show you around our town, we would take you to some really cool places. The best places to eat in town are Shamrock Brewing Co, Twenty-One Steaks, and Bingo Burger. Some really neat places to hang out and have fun are Copper River (an arcade, mini golf, and bar and grill), and the riverwalk (to enjoy a relaxing stroll or gondola ride).

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Ray Weil, the Co-Founder and Lead Field Technician has been the backbone of the field work and setting the bar high for our client’s experience. He is the face of company and the reason we come so highly recommended. He meticulously services our clients’ yards, taking no short cuts, paying great attention to detail, and communicating with our clients. Without his hard work and dedication, Scoopie Doo’s would have been just another poop scoop company not a household name in pet waste removal.
