We had the good fortune of connecting with Anastasia Moore and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Anastasia, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I think we all have hidden talents. Sometimes it can take many years to find your niche. I was never artistic growing up. I cannot draw, to save my life. My mother and my youngest daughter are extremely gifted when it comes to freehand.
I was living in an apartment and one day maintenance tore down a bird’s nest that a pair of swallows had built so while researching how to make a bird’s nest, I saw a video of resin art, and I thought that was really cool. I tried it one time and I have never looked back.
I get to show my creative side without having to draw! I have always tried to make people smile and I think my resin is 1 of a kind and made uniquely for each individual. I can put almost anything into a resin piece and make a special and sentimental piece just for you!

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I started doing resin in 2019. I never thought that this would become such a huge part of my life. I have watched so many YouTube videos and a lot of artists, make little things like keychains and berettes. I started off using large molds and using any object that you can coat with resin. I have always been the kind that goes hard or goes home. The bigger the project the better! I crave a challenge. I do not have a website so I made a whole bunch of cases, and I went everywhere I could, to talk to store owners and venues, gift ships, dispensaries, you name it, if I saw a store and it has anything I can make, I go in.
I have done tabletops, countertops, bathtubs and sinks, any mold, any flat surface, keepsakes, collectibles.
From glow in the dark, colored pigment liquid paste and mica powder. I make jewelry rings necklaces earrings, mason jar’s, jewelry boxes, clocks, night lights, dominos, tarot cards, chess boards, light shades, ash trays, grinders, store signs, night lights, candle holders, gear shifter knobs, wall art. I am learning how to make my own molds, so that I can make even more pieces!
It has not been easy. A lot of leg work and challenges but I am not 1 to give up.
If you have a passion, then you have to make that your motivator. Rejection is a thing but it cant break you. One man’s trash is another mans treasure.
We are all unique and special I just want to create a piece just for you, and that makes you smile when you see it. My favorite thing is fulfilling custom orders.
Smiling is contagious, pass it on!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I am a Colorado native, so I would have to say the Alpine Slide, in Winter Park, Cave of the Winds, Central City for food and fun. I take everyone that I know to my favorite Mexican restaurant Los Alcatraces in Aurora Co. Fogo De Chao and cant forget Forno di Tutti. We would visit the Anne Frank House for a little history lesson, Elitches for fun in the sun and depending on when you visit you gotta Taste of Colorado!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Obviously my daughter Tkeya as she loves my resin art and always wants the first piece I make when I get a new mold.
My youngest daughter Niyah for getting me out there when I first started and selling my pieces at her job!
My granddaughter. Ameirah, who loves to create resin and showing her creative style. It’s something that we both enjoy and have bonded on another level.
My amazing friend Jon Bushnell for his sense of humor his support and his beautiful mind!
