We had the good fortune of connecting with Ancient Echoes and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ancient, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
To be honest, it wasn’t really like I had another choice. I was never great at holding down day jobs, following orders, being on time to a job I wasn’t passionate about and collecting paychecks was never really my thing. I always felt like every time I got fired it was the universe saying louder and more bluntly that I should be doing what I’m passionate about. Music is just what I’ve been drawn to my whole life, there was never really any other option, learn to make money off of music or starve to death haha.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Our musical journey started with a vision of a new sound that we hadn’t heard before, but was rooted in a lot of the older music we grew up with and were inspired by, we always dreamed of taking what our heroes did and bringing into a modern context. We’ve also always dreamed of making music that went beyond the sound as far as our live shows go, an immersive, cinematic live show experience which we are in the process of building now so stay tuned for the new and improved Ancient Echoes Live Music Experience

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
First and foremost, our favorite spot in colorado is an Herbal Tonic bar and Lounge located in boulder called Tonic. We’ve been known to spend a little more than we planned on and leave there feeling nice and wavy. We’re all health and herb nerds in the band so you can also catch us at health stores pretty frequently, such as Rebecca’s apothecary in boulder, or even any of the many natural grocers locations around Denver/boulder. Then there’s all the amazing hiking spots and mountain towns out here, El Dorado canyon, Estes Park, the hot springs, the list goes on.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
So many, wed like to start by saying thank you to our phenomenal team, our manager Jimmy Walorz, our incredible producer Jim Fogarty, the head of social media Marija Hamed, as well as our incredible videographer Rocco Tortorella we wouldn’t have made it this far. We’d also like to give a shout out to our good friend Doc, owner and creator of BioGeoGenetics health products. And lastly we always try to pay homage to the greats that inspired and assisted our journey along the way, Jimi hendrix, the doors, pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Carlos Santana, Fleetwood Mac, Tool, Incubus, Red Hot Chili Peppers, the list goes on really.
