We had the good fortune of connecting with Andy Clements and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Andy, let’s start by talking about what inspires you?
We are truly inspired by the chance that our business provides us to help people. People have gone through a lot of challenges in the past few years. It means the world to us to be able to bring smiles to their faces with our products. It seems that the pandemic caused people to take a closer look at their living spaces and prompted many of them to seek items to place in their homes and offices that would bring them joy. Just a few days ago a customer came in who had spent a long time in the hospital with Covid during 2020. He described how he spent his time in the hospital imagining how he would honor his home space with improvements and beautiful items once he was released. Crystals and plants are some of the items we noticed ourselves and others gravitating to in order to beautify our living spaces. With Mountain Mineral Market we are able to connect people with stones and plants that will be with them as they navigate this new world that’s so rapidly changing. If there’s one thing that the last few years have taught us, it’s to be open to new ideas. The concept for our shop is based on our inspiration to help people and our commitment to an openness to new possibilities. Many different types of people walk out our door much happier than when they came in it, and that’s our main measure of success. By offering a place for people to come find and learn about crystals and plants, we get to bring joy to the community. That’s why we do what we do!

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Our business is still young, we’ve made as far as we have because we love what we do! We’re very passionate about offering people minerals, crystals, plants, and items that will bring them joy for many months or even years after their purchase. Like any young business, we’ve encountered challenges along the way. We always try to view them as lessons and learn as much as possible along the way. We hope to pass that open minded mentality along through our brand. From our products inside the shop to our festivals and gatherings, we want to provide a space where people come together around shared interests to learn and grow.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Must eat: Parisi, The Wolf’s Taylor, Bellota Must do: Evergreen Lake, Red Rocks, Georgetown Railroad, Dazzle
Must see: Lookout Mt, Table Mesa, Dinosaur Ridge

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
We’re so grateful everyday for the support and encouragement of my parents, Karen and David Clements. From childcare for our two sons to logistical help shipping large crystals, they’re always helping out somehow and we couldn’t do what we do without them! Lana Auten of the All Seasons Holiday Market has been an incredible business mentor. Daria Castiglione, the property owner at our location has also provided priceless insight as we grow our business.
