Meet Angela Bellar | Health, Wellness, and Life Coach

We had the good fortune of connecting with Angela Bellar and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Angela, have you ever found yourself in a spot where you had to decide whether to give up or keep going? How did you make the choice?
I often say, “The resistance has not come to stop you, it has come to strengthen you!” Perseverance and pivoting can be challenging to face when navigating the road to your dreams. The most important piece to this puzzle is CLARITY. When you have clear vision, you begin to take steps in the direction of your goals. In doing so, you will inevitably face resistance, opposition, and adjustments. Very infrequently, if ever, will you hear me say, “just quit,” “give up” or any rendition of those phrases. Often, pivoting is involved and always, perseverance. There will be times that you feel as if you are just kicking against the goads, ask yourself what it is all worth and wonder if you should be doing it at all. Remember, success is difficult in the beginning, messy in the middle and beautiful in the end. You cannot develop a muscle without resistance and there are muscles deep within every entrepreneur that have been developed through the heavy lifting of their dreams, through the fighting back and getting up over and over. We are rarely ones to say, “I quit.” I often remember this scripture in times that I have difficulty knowing if I should keep pressing in or pivot my approach- We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. Therefore we do not lose heart.
We don’t lose heart; We make decisions. In nursing, I learned to assess, plan, implement and evaluate. That process still serves me today in determining whether to pivot or push through. I have found using this method and looking at my business in 90 day increments as key to my ability to persevere and pivot well. If we are pivoting too often we will find ourselves trying a million things and not seeing anything stick. I combat the idea that, “This isn’t working,” for at least 90 days after implementing a plan. If it hasn’t been 90 days, I know I am going to persevere. Once you have clarity on your goals and purpose, you can assess what steps need to be taken, formulate a plan to take action in that direction, implement your next steps and then evaluate whether those plans are making change in your life and business. In following this process, you resist the temptation to throw the baby out with the bath water. I love 90 day plans! It’s long enough to see if the process is working and not so long that you are smothered in the getting through without the option of changing things up.
When you are faced with whether to keep going or give up, always KEEP GOING! You may need to pivot, reassess, replan, reevaluate and reimplement over and over, but whatever you do, don’t lose heart! The world needs the strength you will build during the resistance. The world needs YOU!

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My journey to health, wellness and life coaching started five years ago as I faced challenges that were keeping me in a chair, a couch, a bed and a wheelchair for more than eight years. I knew God had called me to MORE but without my health, daily life was difficult enough to navigate and there was no margin for my dreams. Being determined and resilient, I kept believing there were answers. Daily, I would seek the Lord and praying for breakthroughs I knew He could provide. Nine days before my breakthrough, I was tempted to give up; to lose hope completely. In a conversation with the Lord that morning, I surrendered my goals and dreams. I told Him I was willing to sit at His feet for the rest of my life if that was required. I remember typing a facebook post that simply said, “Lupus sucks!” I was alone, discouraged and my hope of ever recovering grew smaller and smaller by the day. I believe God heard my prayers and remembers every tear I cried in frustration and pain. Being on the other side of chronic illness, I can look back now and see what God’s plan was. His word says that we go through the suffering we go through, so we can help anyone, in any suffering with the same compassion we received from Christ in our own suffering- 2 Corinthians 1:4.
I help women with trauma and abuse backgrounds take their lives back and achieve more than they ever dreamed. Using the Fab-YOU-less model they are able to access their faith, abundance and blessings by learning to be their truest self. They gain awareness of what they want less of in life and what they want MORE of. They also realize that when it’s less about themselves and more about Him they are empowered to become servant leaders with the ability to influence the world around them with positive and intentional change in their body, mind and spirit.
I believe what sets me apart is the gift of connection the Lord has blessed me with and truly living by the motto of “Less selling more serving.” I was an accidental business builder in Network Marketing, like so many have been. I said the same thing that is said to me often, “I am not a sales person.” My answer to that is, “Good, because everyone wants to buy and no one wants to be sold to!” I quickly saw the competition, the attitudes and the destroyed relationships in the industry and had a heart to do Network Marketing differently. It is possible to love others well, see people as people and not numbers and thrive as a leader with a team culture of respect and sustainability.
I am most excited about the doors of opportunity that have been opened in leadership through my venture in Network Marketing. I never just wanted to sell a product, I wanted to change lives. Being an overcomer of abuse and chronic illness has given me a unique insight into the broken and confused hearts of women. I have always wanted to use my story to help other women overcome and felt the difficulty I faced was made worth it when I was able to do that. I started investing in myself in the area of leadership and coaching and discovered the framework I currently use to give other women the tools to overcome in their circumstances too. This year I have launched the podcast, Fab-YOU-less, written a chapter in an anthology, grown my business to the top of my company and launched, Grow-4-It, women’s retreats. In these areas, I have the ability to speak into the hearts and lives of women and encourage them to go after their dreams, conquer fear and use their stories to inspire others.
