We had the good fortune of connecting with Ann Tucker and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ann, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I first started because I love to cross stitch and decided I could bring some light into someone’s day with it. I now do it, not only for that reason, but in order to help with family costs including the adoption of our daughter.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I currently work in Information Technology, am a Loan Signing Agent, a work-from-home Mom with a 4 month old daughter, and I’m a crafter! I’m also a disabled Army vet. My adult life has been hard, especially due to my disabilities, but I’ve gotten through them with the help of my wonderful husband who has been with me since before my injuries. I am proud of how far I’ve come with my disabilities, through extreme perseverance and hard work. I enjoy making people happy, and that is part of why I created my Shop. The items I have give people giggles, which always helps with making a happy day!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I LOVE to go to Rockies and Avalanche games and try to take my friends/family to at least one of these while they’re visiting. I enjoy going to Pike’s Peak and Breckenridge, and enjoy a place called Avanti (Denver, near Ball Arena) for food. Glenwood Hot Springs is also awesome, and the train ride there and back is absolutely worth the time it takes to get there.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My mom, sister, and husband have all been there for me in this adventure. My husband helps out with some of the details of my crafts, when he can, and my sister and mom are always sharing my new goodies when I post about them.
