We had the good fortune of connecting with Anthony Deleon and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Anthony, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I’ve always been a craftsman, even as an adolescent. I was fortunate enough to find my way in the signage and lighting industry at a young age and after working nearly 15 years for my former employer, learning the industry top to bottom, I identified that I wanted to achieve something greater. I wanted to give back. Working with my hands brings life to the company, joy to our clients and gratification to my heart. Having the ability to lead tradesmen and provide new opportunities to individuals who never received the call to “fly” is one of my main motivators. I quickly learned that if I wanted to make an impact or provide change in other people’s lives, it had to start with me. Elevated Design Group was born on the idea of changing lives, the communities we live and improving industry standards.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Our passion for people and community set us apart within our industry. We are thrilled with the continual growth we’ve had within the design community and look forward to further expanding our presence. Like most may presume, there were plenty of obstacles too overcome in the beginning of this beautiful journey. Commitment to excellence and perseverance was the only recipe to achieving our goals and defeating early challenges. Besides, We only really lose when we stop trying or give up on an endeavor or venture.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Being a forth generation Colorado Native, where do you begin?! I would start with taking them around the “old” neighborhoods we grew up in and feast on some of the great restaurants that have blessed our beautiful state, and educate them on the development that we have had over the last 20 years. Of course we would need to hit the mountains and hike hanging lake or head down to garden of the gods to bask in nature’s glory. Round it all off with a family cookout/gathering at one of our staple parks and I’d say they’d get a good taste of what Colorado has to offer!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
As we all know, life can be bitter sweet at times and without the adversity and challenges, I may have never stepped into the uncomfortable and begin this journey. I owe a shout out to my children Anthony and Natalie, for without these two beautiful souls, I may have gotten lost along the way. Being a father has proven to be one of my greatest achievements and has taught me how to translate compassion, leadership and discipline to my business philosophy.
