We had the good fortune of connecting with Anthony Le and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Anthony, what makes you happy? Why?
Friends, Family, and Music. Friends because they are the ones that believe in what I do, show up to each event that I have the opportunity to perform at and are always the ones to pick me up when I am feeling down or discouraged. They are the ones I spend the most time with and have made me part of who I am today. Family because they are the other part of who makes me the person I am, without them I’m sure I’d be loss. They have always been supportive of my goals and aspirations, dealing with the loud noises of dance music as I prep my playlist for shows, pushed me through the struggles of past mistakes, and encouraging me to drive for my passion. Finally, music because it gives me the community to meet like minded others. It’s given me the opportunity to travel places to join others in sharing amazing experiences through dance and sound at music festivals and clubs around the country. It has also given me one of my passions, DJing. It truly is one of the greatest feelngs to control the crowd and share the energy and music with those on the dancefloor.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am a electronic dance music DJ with the aspiration to become a producer, my stage name is Antle! I started DJing back in 2010, but didn’t really have a gig until 2011 give or take, but I can tell you the moment I stepped onto that stage to perform for everyone on the dancefloor. It was one of the single, most greatest moments I have felt. I feel what sets me apart from others is the energy I bring to my performance on stage and connecting with the crowd. Dedication to the craft I feel is what has gotten me to where I am today; however, I still have a lot more to learn when it comes to understanding music. I’d also say the support of friends and the community has given me the opportunity to be successful today. I wouldn’t have been able to play the events without them giving me the chances I’ve had. It wasn’t easy and I don’t think it ever will be when it comes to aiming for your dreams. What has helped me along the way is building connections with the community, attending events and showing support even if you aren’t booked to play. Focus on learning new techniques, listen to other genres to see what’s new, and make sure you stand out. I’ve learned to take the bad with the good, sometimes an event isn’t going to turn out the way you had hoped and creating music isn’t always going to sound the way you want it too. However, never giving up and focusing on growth and improvement will lead you in the right direction. I think what I want others to know is, there will always been struggles and roadblocks along the way in life and at certain points it can feel like to much. We are the makers of our lives though, I’ve talked a lot about how I was given opportunities from others, but I had to make those connections. Took the time to put myself out there, dedicate time to learn about my passion, take the time to see others approach while creating what works best for me. Through those struggles will come good if we allow ourselves to learn and grow from it.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Denver isn’t short of having anything to do, I think that’s why I love it here! Between the mountains and the city, there’s a ton of things to do. Eat? I would say check out one of the many food halls in Denver. Milk Market is a great place to swing by to hang out and grab a bite to eat. Looking for a nice dining spot? I’d recommend Bar Taco in Boulder or Denver for casual or Corrine for something a little more fancy. A cool space for drinks and hanging out is a little speakeasy named Run for the Roses, they offer a variety of drinks that are all laid out on a deck of cards in a cozy setting. Without a doubt plan a trip to see an artist at either Mission Ballroom or Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Mission I would have to say is one our best indoor venues, that offers a spacious dance floor, cascading bleachers, a VIP deck, and amazing sound system. Red Rocks is has a breathtaking view of the city as you over the look the stage, quite honestly the best outdoor venue we have here in Colorado.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’ll start with my best friend Chris, he is a literal brother to me. He has always been the most real, authentic, and supportive friend I think anyone could ever ask for. He’s been there for many of the ups and downs of my life and been there to take the call at 2 am when I am needing support, or share all the laughs of making fun of one another though outrageous banter, and pushed me to aim for my passions and goals. I’d also like to give a shout out to the Denver EDM Fam facebook group. They are amazing group that I have the pleasure of being apart of as an admin, they have created a fantastic community of avid electronic dance music goers that offers a space for people to feel like they never have to go to a show alone. When I decided to return to music events and playing shows, they have given me the opportunity to not only share my love of music, but given me a place to create bonds and friendships with a community of talented people.
