Meet Ashley Mazin | Business Owner, Esthetician, & Makeup Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Ashley Mazin and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ashley, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My thought process behind starting my own business stems from a long time of working for others. I just knew that I worked so hard for so long to be working for someone else in order for them to prosper and be successful. Without me as a team member or manager or whatever I was working for someone else I was helping them more so than myself is how I looked at it. Which there is nothing wrong with that! But for me I had a hard time working for someone else and clocking in and out for a 9-5. I just knew I’d always want to work for myself and see my hard work and dedication and hustle pay off for ME! I’ve always loved makeup, skin, beauty, and esthetics and of course people! I knew that this is something I wanted to pursue. So i just networked myself and always talked to people and really utilized my social media to generate business, build clientele, and now have the success that I have!

What should our readers know about your business?
I am a business owner, creative, and artist so many things! But I’m so proud of myself for taking the leap of faith to leave working for someone else and doing my own thing. It’s been the most challenging, hard, tiring, stressful thing ever but the most rewarding step I’ve ever taken. It’s the best thing I have ever decided to do in my career and in life. I’ve worked very hard for so long and seeing all my goals and dreams checked off my list is incredible! If i can do it anyone can! Trust your gut be patient with yourself and love what you do! I’m very passionate about beauty and making people feel beautiful and i want them to feel that when they step foot into my business or experience my service!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’m pretty boring all I do is work. But honestly I’d take my friend to the mountains vail specifically. I love the mountains and the fresh air!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I truly have to give a shoutout to my entire family and my fiancé for supporting my dreams and supporting me in wanting to go on my own and open my own business. They’ve always had my back and encouraged me especially my fiancé!
