Meet Ayush Karki | Filmmaker

We had the good fortune of connecting with Ayush Karki and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ayush, what principle do you value most?
“Music and Cinema. Words to live by.”
These are the only two things I can see doing for eternity. These are the elements that can make us feel a certain way without knowing why it is making us feel that way. They have been a form of entertainment for decades and it’s only soaring up and above. maybe because they have been a means of escape for many people, including me, and I hope you create that getaway for my audience even though I know that escape won’t last long.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
“When I write an original story, I write about people I know first-hand and situations I’m familiar with.” Satyajit Ray.
I would like to start with this quote. The simplicity and realism in film and music often set the pace. We only connect with stories that are told in the most realistic way possible. The things we see in our daily life, the circumstances, the nature. These are the elements I combine to create a compelling story. only those realities among us.
I am still learning ways to be better and in training with many things. There’s no point in life where everything is achieved.
The only thing that is pushing me every day is passion. Create to be lost in time, even if it’s not lasting for eternity.
The project I am proud of is yet to come.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Undoubtedly in nature. mostly in the mountains because that’s where all the fun lies. In terms of eating and drinking, I would say is our backyard. Order in, lay the mat and stare at the full moon. Eat, drink, talk whatever.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
The person who inspired me to tell a story for my audience is Satyajit Ray. From illustrator to music composer, and to film director, he was outstanding in every field, and I hope to achieve at least 1% of his greatness.
