Meet Bailee Campbell | Photographer, Event Coordinator, Serial Creative

We had the good fortune of connecting with Bailee Campbell and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Bailee, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
When I was 15, my dad bought a nice camera but rarely used it. Curious, I decided to try it out, capturing wildlife, flowers, and the scenery around our family ranch. I started sharing my photos on social media, and one day, someone reached out asking if I could take their senior photos.
I had never photographed a person before—let alone for a paid session—but I decided to give it a shot. We had so much fun, and that experience showed me how much I enjoy capturing people just as much as nature.
After that, more requests started coming in. At first, I said yes to everything, figuring out what I liked and what wasn’t for me. Over time, I found my passion in portraits, couples, boudoir, and weddings. When clients told me they rarely liked photos of themselves but loved the way I captured them, it was the push I needed to take photography more seriously.
I continued learning—about my camera, my style, and myself. Photography became more than just a hobby; it became a creative outlet and a business.
RAW Honey Photography isn’t my only job—I also work at a brewery and a flower shop as an event coordinator and marketing manager. But photography gives me the chance to do something I truly love while making a little extra income.
There was never a big business plan, just an open mind, a willingness to try new things, and a love for capturing people in a way that makes them feel confident and seen.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I wear many hats in my life. Not only do I own and operate RAW Honey Photography, but I also work as a Marketing Manager & Event Coordinator at a flower shop and Crabtree Brewing Company. My love for photography and design blends seamlessly with my other roles, and I’m incredibly grateful for the balance I’ve found between my work and personal life.
When it comes to my business, every photoshoot is tailored to the client. I don’t believe in sticking to a single “editing style” because each session calls for a unique approach. Some shoots shine with a warm, filmy aesthetic, while others call for crisp, vibrant colors. My ability to adapt to the mood and energy of each shoot is what sets me apart.
Beyond photography, I strive to bring a calm, encouraging presence to every session—because I know being in front of the camera isn’t always easy. On wedding days, I aim to be a steady, supportive force. My role often extends beyond taking photos—I assist with design, flower arranging, scheduling, and anything else that helps the day run smoothly. If a client needs a grounding presence, I can provide that. If they need an energetic, uplifting hype person, I can be that too. If a bride or groom struggles to voice their needs, I’ll step in as their advocate.
More than just delivering beautiful photos, I want the entire experience—the shoot, the moment, the memory—to be just as meaningful and enjoyable.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Not only did my dad purchase my first camera—one that was supposed to be his but quickly became mine—but he’s also one of the biggest reasons I pursued photography further. He encouraged me to enter my photos in the local fair competition, where I won a couple of ribbons. One Christmas, as part of my gift, he even arranged a meeting with one of his incredibly talented photographer friends. I spent the day asking questions and learning invaluable lessons, while my dad sat beside me, soaking up the knowledge so he could help me later.
He has always been one of my biggest supporters, cheering me on and following my work on social media. I truly couldn’t have started this passion without him.
My gratitude also extends to my mom and my boyfriend, who have both been incredible—helping during photoshoots, offering endless support, and continuously fueling my creativity. I’m so lucky to have such an amazing support system.
