We had the good fortune of connecting with Beauty | Music Artist and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Beauty | Music Artist, what role has risk played in your life or career?
I think that taking risk is a good thing to do as long as it makes sense. If you have a plan to back you up, taking risk that seem out of the ordinary could be very beneficial to your success. Risk taking has played a valuable role in my career. For example marketing is a major step that needs to be taken in my music career so I can grow a large fan base and grow my brand. With marketing once you spend your money on promotion for another company to promote you or once you pay for ads, you don’t get your money back. So I’m taking a risk, but it’s a calculated risk, meaning I thought it threw, even though it’s a risk I’m taking it because I understand how beneficial it is to my success. With marketing the results are not always guaranteed and I have always understood that. I will continue to put my money into marketing throughout my career.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I love music! I’ve been listening to music since I was a little girl. I was raised in the church so I was always at choir practice. I will never forget when I lived in Chesterfield, Va I was like 10yrs. old my Mom bought me a CD player for Christmas! She bought me two CD’s, I only remember one, which was my favorite by Christina Aguilera. I played that CD untill I couldn’t play it anymore! I would have several moments outside in front of the house, singing her songs over and over acting like I was performing. Thats when I fell in love with music. I feel in love with how the music made me feel, it made me feel like I was the artist. I was so young then but I believed that one day I could be a artist because her music was amazing it made you dream!

What sets me apart from others is that I’m my own person. I have my own style, my own sound and I’m not scared to take chances when it comes to making my stamp in the Music Industry. Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Celine Dion & Alicia Keys have a heavy influence on my music I was introduced to them first after being introduced to Christina Aguilera. Im very diverse, I love country, gospel & pop music. I have love for several other music Artist that became my favorites as I got older and inspired my music career. Trina, P-Diddy, Destiny’s Child, Mya, Aaliyah, Nelly, Mario, Eminem, 2Pac, BIG, Lil Kim & several more. I’m also a big fan of battle rap whether it’s guys or women I started listening at like 17yrs old.
I love the women battle rap Queen of the Ring I absolutely love their programming. One thing I learned from battle rap is how to tell a story and how to be firm with your words when you say them. I think in detail when I write, sometimes I will look up meanings of words to have a better understanding, I just do my own thing I never cared what people think.

I’m most proud that I have finally started taking the necessary steps that I need to take to accelerate in the music industry. I’m excited to see where things go, maybe I will get a music deal you never know folks! I’m a entrepreneur at heart so I’m excited to see how big my brand will grow.

I got where I am today by paying attention and staying focused. Some days I felt like I wanted to give up on my dreams, but for some reason, I’ve slowed down but never gave up. Its been times where things was easy and there’s been hard times. I started chasing my dreams heavy in 2015, I was on Facebook doing lipsync videos, on YouTube doing makeup videos, and also on Instagram, I was finding my way. I went threw a bad relationship for 6yrs starting in 2015. I would steadily face challenges with recording, some days I would want to call it quits because I had no support. My oldest son Cameron was the main one that supported me and kept me strong during that time. I just pushed threw, nobody knew that I was struggling because I didn’t show it. My Son and my craft really uplifted me and kept me motivated. I overcame by staying motivated and having faith.

I have learned a lot of lessons along the way. The main one I learned is save some excitement for your fans whenever you can.
It’s okay to tell your viewers ahead a time about upcoming content you may put out. I found it’s best to announce when you are complete. If you inform the crowd ahead of time don’t put a time stamp on it, unless you know forsure forsure! I’ve found myself apologizing for delays or late uploads and I always feel so bad. Things happen so I’ve learned if I have something new coming out wait until it’s complete and ready to go. If it’s not complete and I still want to share I will but I will not time stamp it unless I’m for certain. The best lesson to be learned.
I also have learned it’s not just about how I feel about content, it’s about how my supporters feel also. I’ve learned to put my best foot forward because you never know who’s watching.

I want the world to primarily know no matter your religion chase your dreams. Never feel like you have to choose between God and your dreams, wether you rap, sing, model, or dance don’t let your religion choice stop you from being great. God gave all of us a talent, when you discover yours don’t waste it pursue it.

I want women to know that I support women unity heavy. I never really was attached to the ladies coming up. I never knew why because I was always really nice. So it means a lot to me now that I’m older to support women and bring women together. We must stand together and become one. Women are beautiful we deserve to be uplifted and praised.

I started a Instagram called Beauty_womenunity we are growing daily. Message us with your best photos or video if you want to be posted and show your support this is free and always will be not matter how big we get.

#Beautynottheonlybeauty -you are Beauty but your not the only beauty, it’s several beautiful people in the world, this can go for men also, but I really want to focus in on the ladies to start.

#beautygangbeauty -beautiful people of the world let’s stick together like a gang and support one another!

I pray one day people will use these hashtags to show their support for my movement.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Well I’ve been to Denver a few times to catch a flight while staying in Colorado, Springs. The one time that I did take a random trip there was to buy some cannabis. They have the best cannabis in the state. I would tell the ladies fly into Denver and that would be our first stop! Then we would travel to Colorado, Springs it’s so beautiful there. The mountains are everywhere but in the springs it’s so breathtaking. The downtown area is where I would love to hang out, maybe catch some drinks and food. We would stay at the Cheyenne Mountain Resort I never got a chance to stay there, but every time I rode by I would fall in love, it’s stunning and great for a girls trip! We would also visit the fine arts center! It’s so inspiring to walk threw there and see the artistic pieces displayed. If we had time I would take them to Charis Bible College for a quick tour, such beautiful landscaping.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to first dedicate this shoutout to the state of Colorado. When I lived in the Springs for a while I was inspired. I moved there to get away and chase my dreams in peace. Once I arrived to Colorado in early March of 2021, things spiraled downhill because I had so much I was going threw prior to moving there. Leaving and going to Colorado was an escape it was a place where nobody knew me. A land full of possibilities so beautiful and peaceful. The state where people chase their dreams!! Colorado also helped me get in touch with my spiritual side, while there I attended a few conferences at Caris Bible College. I was considering on enrolling into school, but things changed and I have now moved back with family since August of 2021 I’ve been in Florence, Sc.

I would also like to thank my Mom Charmaine Leona, My Dad Keith Burton, My stepdad Juan Manuel, my Sister Jaqueline Michelle and my twin Brother Ashton Lee. I would like to thank my two sons Cameron and King for being in my life, if I didn’t have them I wouldn’t push so hard at what I do. They are the ones that inspire me to chase my career in music untill I reach the top!

I would also like to thank my boyfriend Tyree Faison for supporting my dreams so heavy! He’s amazing.

Also my best friends forever, which they are like sisters Tkela James & Jasmine Williams. They are great friends. Always supporting and inspiring me to push harder! They have been there in my darkest moments and I appreciate their friendship a lot.

Last but not least I would like to thank God for blessing me with the many talents I have and for never leaving me nor forsaking me.
