Meet Bianca Jaquez | Photographer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Bianca Jaquez and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Bianca, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking.
If there is one thing you can do in this world, it is to take that risk. Everything, and I mean absolutely everything you can think of, you can achieve. If you truly see yourself there, you will get there! If there is a risk to take, take it. Better to live with you knowing you tried, rather than looking back with regret. The world is a playground, we can play a little!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Growing up with my dad being a racehorse trainer, I always loved to capture moving horses on my mom’s digital camera. This taking place at the track, or even on fields running free! The moving horses turned into moving cars. And before I knew it a mirrorless camera was in my hands. My passion for the automotive world grew as I got my drivers license, this shifted into me shooting car photos for high school friends. It all just started from those high school car photos, which lead to shooting some of my first portrait shots with those same buddies.
I am so grateful that support was there when starting, because it truly made me feel like never letting off the gas, so we are still going!
For me it’s always been a passion to just capture moments. The rush one gets from seeing the ONE photo (photographers know what I’m talking about). It’s an amazing feeling an artist can feel!
Currently I have been shooting on my Sony set up for the last couple years. My photos are known for that warm western feel, capturing the lifestyle and animals that come with!
If western if not your thing, we can switch the vibe for ya!
I truly enjoy just the art of capturing alone. I like to go out and capture car shows, barber battles, horse shows, and much more.
The creative juices don’t stop runnin!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I love to hike in Boulder!
I would then go to a cafe get some carbs in, to then go to the gym! Colorado has many unique gyms, being a bodybuilder as well, I love to go check new gyms out with friends!
Being a CSU grad I also feel the need to show everyone the beauty of Fort Collins, the possibilities are endless!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to thank those who follow and those who have been with me from the start. I truly have always had people supporting Iridian Photography’s dream (even if it was a couple at first), all those internet friends know who they are! Getting to share my art with all, fills my heart with happiness. I am so extremely grateful that I get to capture some of the most beautiful and heartfelt moments for individuals and families around.
