We had the good fortune of connecting with Brandon Conner and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brandon, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
Perspective and perception. Understanding people’s perspective and perception allows me to grow and develop strong relationships that help pave the way in a more efficient way. I am able to step inside the mind and shoes of every artist in my company to help them reach their goals and that helps me eventually reach mine. Perspective and perception allows me understand the business I am in and new markets that fit our music. I believe it takes a great team with similar ideas but different approaches.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
New West Management took awhile to come together, I took time to study and learn to do it the correct way. Before New West I learned all the wrong ways. It took finding the correct people who shared the vision that we could accomplish our goals by coming together as a team. Plenty of labels but not many management companies dedicated to their artist development and making sure the business side is covered. As an artist myself I have reached most of my goals and made good money along the way & I want this for each of my artist. Lets be honest it’s a billion artist out there but how many of those artist really understand the business? The answer will probably surprise you. We are different because of the knowledge we have that gives us the extra advantage.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I keep it simple, Apple Bees in aurora is my favorite spot to meet. If we are shopping Castle Rock outlet mall, if we are talking music the studio, or a live show to see 1 of my artist or friends. If we are close my house is my favorite place to be, it’s nice to have a home the wife and kids, a little dog everything I love is at home and it’s where I get most of my work done.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
