We had the good fortune of connecting with Brenda and Jonas Pina and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brenda and Jonas, what is the most important factor behind your success?
We sourced the best possible resources we could, in our case, these ingredients included, a physical landscape that consisted of “Majestic Hoodoos” and spectacular views of rolling hills with amazing Pikes Peak Mountain backdrops. As these types of unique features can’t be imitated or recreated, this is truly a one-of-a-kind event. When making decisions concerning the amenities for our property, we consistently put the experience before cost. This formula has created an overwhelming demand for our property. My wife and I have experience in the hospitality industry that helps us provide our guests an experience that is unique and above our guest expectations. This creates an accelerated demand for our property. Our goal has always been to provide guests the best experience ever. When guests share their experiences about their stay, it motivates us to continue delivering the best experience and we’re always thrilled when our guest leaves a positive review.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?

At Majestic Pikes Peak Manor, we have been diligently working to create a warm, relaxed atmosphere of peacefulness. Once you step outside, you feel as though you are in the mountains with the canyon below and Pikes Peak providing the majestic backdrop for your getaway.

Being responsive to every guest need, reliability and our outstanding hospitality sets us apart from others. For example, giving good recommendations for restaurants and current activities and events to do around the area and immediate response to every guest question or inquiry. We do our absolute best to fulfill every guest request both large and small.

We started our vacation home rental in February, and by April we already got our Airbnb Superhost status which we are most proud and excited about.

How did you get to where you are today business-wise? Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges?

As Brenda and I were working overseas throughout the Middle East and Europe, we knew it was time to make our way back to the United States, specifically in Colorado. Colorado has a lot to offer so we thought having Airbnb is a good investment to start with.

It wasn’t easy to get where we are today. When we started, we cleaned our rental property when we got off work to get the house ready for our next guests. Eventually, Brenda needed to leave her career for the military as a Child and Youth Program Assistant to focus on our business.

What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way?

The lessons we’ve learned along the way are attention to details when it comes to cleanliness, acknowledging every guest’s feedback and good communication with the guests are important keys to a successful business.

What do you want the world to know about your brand and story?

We want the world to know that they found a secret oasis in a city of half million people- one of a kind and truly a special place!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?

If my best friend were to visit in Colorado Springs, we would probably start our itinerary for a good early hike in Pulpit Rock a hidden gem which has a spectacular view of Colorado Springs and Pikes Peak just behind our property and then grab some good breakfast at Urban egg, Then take him at Royal Gorge bridge – for a birds eye view of breathtaking landscape, On the way back we will stop by at Rudy’s Country store and Bar-B-Q for a tasty barbecue lunch then head to Garden of the Gods which is 8 minutes away from Rudy’s. After a hike at Garden of the Gods, I will take him to Bj’s Restaurant and Brewhouse for a good dinner and a beer. Then end our day in a hot tub to soothe our muscles after a long day of adventure

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
We like to give a shoutout to Shane Casey, a design consultant from Woodley’s Furniture in Colorado Springs. My wife and I we’re looking for an interior designer that will work on our preferred schedule as we both work during the workday. We had a hard time looking for a designer until we met him. We explained our situation and Shane promptly came to our property to assess it. We explained to Shane our rustic theme and he promptly presented his ideas and soon after, we implemented them. Shane Casey is easy and comfortable to work with. We are very happy with the outcome and our guests always make comments about the decor of the property! I would like to give a shoutout to Jay Wilden, a Sr. Loan Originator from Capstone Home Loans who did a fantastic job in helping us through the process of not only financing a home but creating a thriving business. We also would like to give a shoutout to Dawn Christine Photography for capturing a fantastic photo for our vacation home rental. She was easy to work with and a fast turnaround of photos!
